Rolling Characters! | Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (Patreon)

We're rolling characters for our upcoming to-be-named Warhammer Fantasy Role Play (WFRP) campaign! This Pearl Dolphin-exclusive campaign will take over Mondays after we finish season 1 of Shroud Over Saltmarsh!

Tonight, we'll be taking time to slowly build our characters, and then we may even play a super short session as we fumble through the rules!

im only familiar with 40k. is the lore.. like the factions like orc boys and chaos and such in 40k simliar to WFRP? is it the same universe?

What is your opinion on the concept of being to stupid to be hurt be eldritch gods or monsters? The idea comes from bloodborne if you have zero insight, the stat that let's you see the eldritch creatures, a certain enemy can't hurt you because they use the eldritch as a weapon

Not really a question, but I wanted to tell Derek that his style of humor reminds me of Ryan Stiles from Who’s Line Is It Anyway. The mix of dead pan and slapstick makes me die laughing every time. Love you guys!!

You said combat’s crunchy, like in Tainted Grail, so that begs the question: How squishy are level 1 characters in WFRP compared to other systems?

Since there is so much more detail with wfrp, just how creative can you get with attacks? i.e.: choosing to freeze the water in an enemy’s body.

Does this gamesystem have PROPER D.O.T. effects because honestly it's both a little nice and easier to track as a player that DnD doesnt really have them, but it would be super cool to have more complex ones

Right before i started watching this session, i started reading rules on D&D beyond for the first time, including character creation. So, even if this is a different system, it helped me to understand the general process for D&D, too. I will probably never play in a Warhammer universe, but it is still fun to learn along with you guys, so thanks for the experience! I am also slowly getting proficient in distinguishing the voices of Mikey and Richie while not looking ^^

Man I'm late to the party on this one! I didn't understand that it was a Warhammer like world and not just 40k (which I don't have much interest in) and now I want to convince my players to switch from 5e to rules to something similar to this! Super excited to see where the campaign goes!
