Tons of excel work this week to make expanding the movesets and adding additional moves easier. Not much to show really. Just pages with data. Progress continues to the next big NM+ release.

Great news fella. Keep it up

Anybody else like the idea of stolen finishers for Backlash being a different animation? Just like when it happens irl, it's not performed the same premier way, it tends to be lesser fluid in its movement, & a less impactful imitation overall...not saying I want more bumbling "McMahon stunners" but still an imitation. & it could also be a variant when stealing your tag partners' finisher, as done in NoMercy. Overall, I think it would make classic finishers all the more special, in addition to their Z-alternate versions planned

Sounds good but unfortunately is unrealistic when considering limited animation files, move selections and bit compression.

ohh ok...brought back down to Earth ;) thnx for the reply

Just subbed today after seeing your work. Super talented! I have a Super 64 cart (same thing as the ED64 plus cart). However, I can’t get any versions to load….only get the black screen. This was the same issue I had with the original No Mercy but I found a save file online that made it work once I added it to my cart. I’m guessing this might be similar issue. Anyone out there know any fixes?

Mark Simpson

No Mercy should then run as a flash file on the ED64 👍

Brandon

Thank you so much Mark! The files you shared made the game work! The files you attached are for V1. How would I go about updating to 2.1?

Brandon

Mark, I was able to patch the original game and create the v 2.1 rom just fine. I tried using the same save file you used in your link above to see if maybe it would work but had no luck. How do I get the save file for v2.1? If it’s a lot of work maybe I should just get one of those everdrive X7s which supposedly don’t require a save file to work ?

Retro Randy Price

The 2.5 and X7 (and probably others) don’t require a save file. The issue you guys mentioned is new to me.

Mark Simpson

To create the save file, I opened up No Mercy Plus 2.1 in Android version of Mupen, and then exported the saved date. Uploaded the rom to the save converter website and then created the folder in the link.

Mark Simpson

I haven't tried it in my ED64 so let me know if any issues - I should have some time this week to properly look at it 👍

Mark Simpson

Yeah, that's the problem with the knockoff everdrives- random save errors with some games

Brandon

Hey Mark, the save file is in a bin format and I can’t get anything extracted from it. Thanks for the help!

Mark Simpson

Sorry about that - it's re-named as a fla file so should work. If not I'll take a look during the week

Brandon

Yeah I can’t get it to work. I appreciate the help. Going to look into getting an everdrive so I don’t have to deal with this haha.

Mark Simpson

D'oh! I'll try it on my ED64 and see if I can figure it out

Brandon

No need to try! I bought an everdrive x7 and it arrived today. Game works perfectly on it. Thanks for all the earlier help.

Mark Simpson

Nice! I might also have to upgrade to an Everdrive at some point 👍 Hopefully I can get it working the ED64 in the mean time

Mark Simpson

Apologies for the delay - I've checked on my ED64 Plus and have got No Mercy 2.1 working on it 👍

Mark Simpson

The fla save file just needs to be in the ED64 folder and should have the same title as the rom
