it's entirely possible that these specific characters didn't know about that and only really became aware of MJ when he was doing his own thing. I know that I have found out certain artists exist years after they got very famous, and finding out about their earlier work surprised me.

Here’s my pitch on what the map can mean- ok so it kinda looks like lungs to me and the first thing that came to mind hearing the description of rat was the Viking torture called a blood eagle which is where they would remove the skin from someone’s chest and string them up, and reportedly the person being tortured’s lungs would still beat and I feel like that’s similar to like the map and all that stuff ??
