THE COUNCIL DISCUSSES EP 86 OF RIPTIDE.

Comments

Audrey

I have never seen a single anime in my entire life, yet I love seeing people make references to stuff they love in creative ways.

karma

i feel like they keep ignoring that the curse is making fillipe insane all the time no matter where he is

Gabe

Idk if Griz will ever see this but in case you do man I love your appreciation for anime. I'm not the biggest consumer of that media by any means, but I certainly enjoy it. My girlfriend and I love getting drunk and watching 7DS, I grew up on Studio Ghibli and Death Note was my emo awakening. When I listen to this campaign (going on my 3rd listen Through right now) I imagine this world in an almost anime style. Partially because of the style the thumbnails and character art is made in, but it just fits. Your world is beautiful, Grizzly, and if an art style fits it and the medium is clearly so important to you, I don't think you should feel ashamed. I hope your perspective on sharing your passions has shifted. You're a very gifted story teller and creative mind and the world needs more of it. Keep on being yourself my man. Don't ever let anyone make you feel bad for it ❤️ Least of all that fuckass uncle. He doesn't know shit

Sun Drop

This may be my new favorite episode

enbyralsei

this was an Intense episode

mae

this was fr one of the best episodes, the way you can tell that chip has grown so much as a character is amazing, the development is actually showing

karma

you guys have not tried a single thing for poor Filipe you just talked about solutions also the arena fight was super fun

cait

i find it so fucking funny that pawpaw finn is still asleep

Matthew Zimmerman

Does anybody know why the video isn’t up on YouTube yet?

Elijah

I just wanna watch jay do tax evasionnnn

Elijah

Jrwi hasnt postedd

Jam'ez

And that's what I call 71 episodes worth of character development

cloey

the episode won’t show up for me on here or yt :(

Amy Waller

Same, I can't find it

Amy Waller

Oh wait, lmao, it's on Spotify only rn

Just Roll With It

yoo thats interesting! i thought dal segno sounded the most island fitting too when looking at musical terms. reminded me of "Isle Delfino," from super mario sunshine HAHA - G

Video_ham

This has been my favourite rolled I've listened to its super fun.

Oatmeal

Now we need a Riptide One Shot: Goobleck and Filipe's Isekai Adventure which is just the two of them trying to escape hell and literal Satan. RIP Filipe you were a real one

Ryezun

Your uncle's just jelly.

Amy Waller

BTW grizzly my dude the anime jokes/refs are fire you don't gotta hold back on them. People who call other people cringe are cringe themselves, and you're definitely funny regardless of the kinds of jokes ur making. You kick ass at story stuff and anime stuff and any other stuff you do and also, like, your hair is always ~immaculate~ so like don't even worry. Also, on god I would eat Mac and cheese (I hate that shit so much) if it meant you guys would do a Monster Hearts one shot that had a plot like a shitty anime dating sim. Or hell multiple episodes of that. Would slay gods in your names my dudes for that.

Inquisitor_Snow

Yeah man, the anime stuff is awesome!!! I loved it in the episodes and i love very time that you guys reference some. It isn't cringe, it is funny.

ElvishCyborg

I’m probably the only person who thought this, but Chip vs Gillion reminded me of Pneuma vs Jin from Xenoblade 2 lmao

scrimmyjim

i was talking to my dad, who has been playing dnd since the game was made, about this episode and he got sort of confused, stopped me, and asked if it was two PCs having that fight. turns out in his 40+ years of playing he's never had inter-party conflict in a campaign. no fuckin clue what he's been doing all this time but shoutout gavin anyway for teaching me dnd when i was 9

Pupper in a Spacesuit

Grizzly I love your anime references please don't feel too bad about it 🥺

Ace_has_Greed

We need an anime one-shot with the Riptide crew

I’m-gunna-get-you

Filippe theory, was he around when chip was doing the fire stuff the first time? Cause maybe he burned himself out using his crazy observation skills and dipped

RockNLoad

I don't think any of you should be embarrassed about your jokes. You're all experienced entertainers that have great comedic chemistry with each other.

Lee

Wanna say that I didn't really like anime and then my friend recommended me Sk8 the infinity AND REKI IS SO MUCH DAKOTA SO I ENJOYED WATCHING THAT SHOW SO MUCH. Don't be embarrassed or shamed by your inspirations, your all are really cool.

John EldenRing

Loved the longer episode, and that big tide rush draws ever closer

Sydney

Grizzly your anime references / inspiration vibes are amazing! I promise they are amazing! Its like when y'all discribe combat through the view of a camera- like sometimes I imagine it in realism sometimes it takes like freze frames Into like anime sequences- all of it makes for an amazing story and visuals

Titan Storm

At this point, I am definitely sure Gillion is clinically insane... AND I LOVE IT!!!

BonezMcCann

Wait is that why there hasn't been an anime voice camp video in a while!?

Laixl

OML THANK YOU i have been waiting to see someone compare reki and dakota, when i watched sk8 i was blown away by how alike they are, and it made me love the show even more as well 😭

UnequivocableVernaculist

Niklaus going "You fucking idiot it's looc-eugutncns" and being defeated is hilarious
