THE COUNCIL DISCUSSES EP 87 OF RIPTIDE.

Gabe

Listening to this after episode 122, I would love it if Aslana returns now that they're not too far away from where we last knew she was. She's one of my favorite NPCs. Also, with the utmost respect, she's fine as heck

Eggyneer

where the art at please

JuggerNutts

I always get excited to see the just rolled then I see that the episode isn't up yet and I get sad, just hate to let the rolled just sit there while I wait for the episode to come out

Ghostwise

the privilege of having watched the live stream and being able to watch the rolled as soon as it comes out >>>

em_aye_vee_

I've watched the last few streams but I always zone out at some point or get distracted reading chat or something else happens and I miss chunks of it, then I listen to the just rolled when it comes out, then I still listen to the episode on YouTube to get the parts I missed

Gunkymunkyspunk

Her grandma said that Jay’s presence disappeared which is by far one of the most terrifying things anyone has said in this campaign. I don’t think I need to say why either.

Laymat 123

Wait because they weren’t able to track her or find her? I’m having a small brain moment

Ghostwise

yep lmao I do pretty much exactly the same thing. it's a good way to remember a lot more of what happens imo

Scrap Luck

Admiral Ferin mentioned there are multiple undercover agents this episode and that is concerning

Squash

Where is the Spotify episode

moonfruito

SoNormal

Alex Lopez

I can't wait to see old man Earl

Amy Waller

Hi. Just wanted to say I'm even gayer for Jay. That is all. Also, I'd love to see some official redesigns of the boys :)

My favorite setting in all of fiction is pirates, because the amount of creativity you can have from going from place to place on each island, and how everything can be so different on one than the other snd it makes sense narratively, its just so good, and a major part of that is for sure the sailing. Some may disagree, but to me its actually so amazingly perfect, it allows so so so much room to organically flesh out the crew and the players characters, as well as keeping thjngs interesting by having crazy stuff happen on the ocean, like a leviathan showing up, or a frickin tax monster or a fellow pirate crew. Then, you get to the island or major city and cleanly continue the story. As for riptide specifically ive adored the pacing so much, everything feels so natural to me, and its the pacing ive been strying to master for my own campaign, so moral of the story, dont change riptide is metal as heck and also the designs are so cool i love dreys the most hes so cool i want to have it goodbye

weasel

This. You nailed it 100%

scrimmyjim

i love ocean sessions!! i think they're super fun. i don't think any of the episodes are really "filler" per se but the in-between-arcs chill boat activities with fewer near death experiences are nice for pacing

Video_ham

Charlie slimecicle would be a fever dream what if

Uncle Wasabi

Morality is worth its weight in shit, read her mind bro

Becky

I’m getting serious Ursula vibes from Aslana’s “Mom”. She just happened to come across her mom in the middle of the ocean, she has legs now, she is being taken to the capital for some vague reason….

Nina

i love all the rp so much

Dog in a trench coat

Aslana's mom hinting that her daughter had a thing for Chip and his immediate understanding that it is her that likes him is pretty Chip huh

The redesign is scary stuff is so real- our home part just had a redesign/timeskip and I have been stressing for weeks to help everyone with new designs

Gunkymunkyspunk

I honestly didn’t make that connection. I thought she simply meant: “maybe someday you will get someone else to explain it to you”. Your interpretation is definitely more fun and interesting lol!

It sounds like the Navy can always track her as long as she is on mana. Best case scenario is they can only sense Jay’s presence on the planet but not her exact location. Worst case scenario is they always know exactly where Jay is and the only reason they haven’t ambushed the crew is because they still assume she is a spy. My personal fear is that her eagle Pin is a tracker or something; although, it could also just be some sort of spell the Navy is using. Basically it is terrifying because it implies that the top admiral essentially always knows where Jay is on the planet at any given time, making her a potential danger to any pirates near her and putting Lizzie’s plans in constant jeopardy of being discovered by the navy (even if Jay herself isn’t telling the Navy anything).

The intro for this episode, bruh. I can’t tell if I was still locked in the feels from listening to PD or if this was that messed up. Jay deserves better. I freaked out when Cedric showed up then Aslana came on board. I freaking love her! So on brand to grab Pretzel before greeting Gillion. Sorry bro, she’s cuter than you.
