Tbf, I don't think Simon realized just how little she truly knew. We have to remember that even though this is episodes for us? These are like WEEKS if not MONTHS for them. So he probably assumed that her mother had the talk with her now, especially considering this is her first season on the market.

We don't know if Daphne was pregnant and had an early miscarriage or if she had her period. Only way to know is with blood tests and ultrasound. We do know that she was waiting and watching for her period, which was implied to be late.

Why would she take the chance of ruining her life like that when most everyone would not have responded that way.
