“It was in the early 2000’s” so was naruto and bleach and a lot of peak animes with good pacing such as my hero academia even though im not exactly a fan of it but it had good pacing take a look at dragon ball super and you’ll see why toei is the problem
You know people complain about pacing so much. I’ve been caught up to one piece since 2013. I never cared much about pacing. When I watched dbz certain saga that a fight lasted half a school year I didn’t care because I wasn’t informed about complaining about these things. I watched older shonen where pacing was bad. Naruto pacing was much better but there was a lot of fillers. Again I never cared. This generation has short attention span so they complain about every little thing. If it’s not Ufotable animation and jjk pacing 🤣🤣
KeelDabandwagons if you don’t like something dont watch it. You mention bleach had good pacing?although a great anime it had so many fillers people didn’t really didn’t give it true praise till tybw. One piece is fixing the pacing issue. But people are going to critique other things because that’s what people do. No anime is perfect except lowkey Vinland saga and some others lol but to each his own
