Seeing the demonic monkey land on her flight barrier, Jade expected it to go on a rampage at any moment.

The next moment, the General Level demonic monkey shrank from its current valiant and powerful form into a small black monkey similar in size to Stripey. The only difference was the fur around her face. Instead of Stripey’s white stripe pattern, she had a full frame of pure white fur that made her look almost fluffy.

The small female monkey then lifted one tiny hand and waved at Stripey in a clearly bashful manner, her ears twitching slightly as she did so.

Jade understood at once after seeing this. This female monkey was actually the same species as Stripey.

What Jade had not expected was that a small monkey species like this one could actually become one of the strongest General Level demonic beasts in a place like this.

After all, demonic beasts that reached this level were usually from the stronger animal species.

This female monkey belonged to the small percentage of weaker species that had somehow overcome all odds to climb to her current level. Because they were anomalies among their own kind, they rarely found others of equal strength. Most ended up living alone for the rest of their lives.

Jade was left speechless. Did Stripey really not realize that the other party was flirting with him?

The female monkey did not give up. She took a small step closer, waved again, and even tilted her head in a clearly inviting manner, gesturing for him to come over.

Stripey only tightened his grip on the bananas and shook his head even more seriously, as if refusing a persistent thief.

The female monkey tried once more, pointing at herself and then at him with hopeful little movements.

Stripey responded by turning his body halfway around and shielding the bananas with both arms.

A few seconds later, Leyvi flew back up to the flight barrier, utterly confused by what he was seeing. He appeared relatively fine, without any serious injuries. There were only bruises scattered across his body.

Was this small monkey the same ferocious one that had been chasing them just moments ago? What in the world was it doing?

“Sister Jade, what’s going on? Did you feed it some kind of drug?” Leyvi asked after he re-entered the barrier, sounding bewildered.

“Isn’t it obvious? This female monkey fancies Stripey now. Look at how flirtatious she is. Even I’m getting secondhand embarrassment watching this.” Jade replied.

“What? She likes Stripey?” Leyvi was completely shocked. He had not expected this development at all.

“This… she won’t try to kidnap Stripey, right?” he asked, a clear edge of worry in his voice.

“It’s possible. Coincidentally, they are from the same species. It’s obvious that she wants Stripey as her companion. She might try to bring him back to her territory.” Jade nodded.

“No, no, no. There’s no way we can let that happen.” Leyvi shook his head firmly. The thought alone made him uneasy.

How could he let some random monkey take Stripey away? Stripey was part of his family. He had grown up with them, fought alongside them, and trusted them completely. And from the looks of it, Stripey did not seem interested in the slightest.

“Hehehe. If that’s the case, how about you bring her with you? Tame her. That way she can stay with Stripey.” Jade suggested with a smile, clearly thinking it would make for an interesting development.

If it had been anyone else, she would not have suggested this. But Leyvi had already tamed a King Level demonic beast. Taming a General Level monkey should not be difficult for him. The only real question was whether the female monkey would agree to it.

Leyvi blinked. It had been a while since he last thought about taming a new demonic beast, so the idea had not even crossed his mind. Still, it was not a bad suggestion. Should he try to tame her?

“What are you hesitating about?” Jade interrupted his thoughts.

“Think about it. Demonic beasts like Stripey are quite rare. He will not meet others of his species that easily. Now a strong one has shown up and is completely head over heels for him. Isn’t this the best possible outcome? She is already near the peak of General Level and could eventually reach King Level. If they stay together, Stripey gains a powerful companion of his own kind. “I know… but I don’t want to force it on him.” Leyvi said, his voice quieter now. 

Then he looked at Stripey, who had been listening the entire time.

“What do you think about it, Stripey? That lady monkey is interested in you. What about you?” Leyvi asked.

He never thought he would one day ask a monkey if he was interested in another monkey. What a strange situation this had become.

“Umm, she is scary. Stripey doesn’t want to get beaten.” Stripey said, shaking his head firmly.

“That was because she thought we were her enemies. Now it’s different. She likes you. Look at how well-behaved she has become. Is she still scary?” Jade tried to persuade him.

“Umm… but if she gets angry, she will become scary again.” Stripey shook his head once more, clearly unwilling to take the risk.

Jade and Stripey went back and forth on the matter for a while. She listed many reasons why this arrangement could benefit him, yet Stripey kept returning to the same point. He simply did not like being scared, and no amount of logical explanation seemed to change that.

In the end, Jade resorted to outright bribery. She promised him several valuable items, things that were genuinely useful for his growth and daily life, before Stripey finally gave a reluctant nod of agreement.

This entire exchange left Leyvi completely speechless. Why was Jade so adamant about this? She had even pulled out multiple useful treasures just to convince him. Did she simply enjoy playing matchmaker that much?

Several hundred kilometers away from where Leyvi currently was.

Two figures in robes that completely hid their appearance and aura flew through the sky. They moved with deliberate caution, as if any unnecessary movement might reveal them.

One of them held a lens-type spirit artifact that allowed them to peer hundreds of kilometers into the distance.

“The report said she went in this direction, but it’s not impossible that she changed course midway. It’s been a few days after all," the one with the lens said, voice low.

“Don’t worry. My aura compass is still pointing this way. She’s still in this direction. You just need to keep looking," the other one replied, equally quiet.

“Are you sure this is going to work? She’s a Soul Transformation Realm cultivator. We are both only in the Soul Formation Realm. If she finds out, we are dead. Completely dead.”

The man quickly placed the pill inside and gestured for it to go.

The king cobra turned at once and slithered through the sky toward the appointed direction at incredible speed, its long body cutting through the air like a dark ribbon.

“Hahaha! Let’s go! Now we wait for the good news! This is the true first step of our family’s dominion plan!”

The two turned and flew away in a slightly different direction to cover their tracks.

Meanwhile, the king cobra rapidly closed in on Leyvi’s group.

When it finally spotted a woman, it swallowed the pill as ordered.

The next moment its aura surged tremendously, climbing straight toward the King Level. Power flooded its body in waves. Then its eyes shifted, turning a deep, glowing red that burned with unnatural intensity.
