Development Update #4 - Welcome to the Leisure Ward (v0.5.0) (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

It’s been a little while since my last post, so I wanted to pull back the curtain and show you what I’ve been working on.

The upcoming v0.5.0 update is going to be absolutely packed. My two main goals for this build were implementing the Currency System (including shops for gifts and consumables) and the Dating System. Bridging these two massive features together is a brand new location: The Leisure Ward.

Here is a look at my current progress checklist:

✅ DONE: The Currency System: The MC now earns a daily allowance of tokens. Currently, the daily payout is a fixed amount, but once the Leveling System is introduced in a future update, your income will scale with your level and magic proficiency! Also, when loading old saves, you will receive tokens retroactively, based on the total day count of your save file.

✅ DONE: Campus Shops & Gift Giving: You can now spend your hard-earned tokens on campus!

The Cafeteria: Buy consumables to restore AP and Climaxes, or pick up chocolate boxes.

The Flower Shop: Buy beautiful bouquets. Each LI will have their own favorite bouquet of flowers, which when gifted will give an even better stat boost.

Gift System: Giving gifts grants attribute boosts. Safe gifts (flowers, chocolates, clothes) are usually well-received, but you will need to make sure an LI's stats are high enough before offering them more "taboo" gifts like sex toys or lingerie!

✅ DONE: The Leisure Ward: This is an entirely new hub area separate from the Campus Grounds, filled with shops and date spots.

New Stores: Browse the new Clothing Store, Lingerie Store, Sex Shop, and Tattoo Parlor.

New Cosmetics: To stock these shops, I’ve added a ton of new cosmetic items for Verity, including lace lingerie, a black dress, nipple piercings, and tattoos!

Date Locations: This ward houses date locations such as the Movie Theatre, Spa, and a Luxury Nightclub.

⬜ IN PROGRESS: The Dating System: This is the most complex part of the update. You will be able to schedule and attend dates with LIs at the locations mentioned above. Dates will act as their own mini-events where you choose the activities. If the date goes well, you earn a temporary boost to your "seduction score," significantly improving the chances of the LI accepting your sexual advances later that day.

⬜ IN PROGRESS: Sex Toys & Accessories: In the Leisure Ward, you'll find the Red Dragon sex shop. Here, you can buy butt plugs, vibe eggs, ball gags, and more to spice up your existing sex scenes! These aren't just visual: they change the interactions. For instance, making Verity wear a ball gag alters her dialogue into muffled moans and grunts. However, if she is dominant enough, she might force you to wear the gag, drastically limiting your dialogue options and leaving you entirely at her mercy.

The Road to Release

There is still quite a ways to go. Every new clothing asset, piercing, and sex accessory needs to be manually drawn and aligned for every single sex position, which takes a lot of time! But progress has been steady, and I'm hoping to have this all wrapped up within the next couple of weeks.
