Development Update #5 - v0.5.0 got hands (Patreon)

Hello all!

So... I mentioned in my last post that I was expecting to be done with v0.5.0 within the next couple of weeks. It's been two weeks, so I should probably give you all an update on how it's going.

Bad news first, and then the good stuff.

The Bad News

Let's rip the band-aid off: It will probably take at least another week before I am comfortable releasing the update. There's still a lot to do, especially regarding dialogue.

Because I'm building out the Dating System, there's just no way around it: I need to write brand-new dialogue for every single interaction that is possible inside a date event. I'm going above and beyond to make sure the dates feel fresh, varied, and don't immediately feel repetitive. This means that sometimes I have to write two sets of dialogue for each activity: one for the first time you do it with Verity, and one for repeats.

I can get away with skipping some of these, but not all. It's a massive amount of work, but it wouldn't feel right just making one vague, bland set of narrations like "You and Verity go to the lake. It was good. You go back."

So, I'm going to take the time necessary to really flesh out all of the branching dialogues and possibilities.

The Good News

The good news is, apart from the dating system, I've managed to implement every other feature I had in mind exactly as I envisioned them!

Here is a breakdown of everything that is officially fully coded and working in v0.5.0:

🛍️ Economy & The Leisure Ward

The Hub: Added a new "Teleport" button to travel to the Leisure Ward: a brand new area filled with shops and date spots.

Part-Time Jobs: You can now check the Campus job board and work shifts (like Cafeteria Worker or Gym Cleaner). Working drains your Action Points (AP) but pays out in Tokens!

Fully Working Shops: Spend your Tokens at various shops. The game tracks what you buy and removes unique items from the stock.

Inventory & Gifting: You now have an inventory system! Buy gifts (like flowers, chocolates, or food to restore AP) and give them to Love Interests. Safe gifts boost stats, but taboo gifts might be rejected if their stats aren't high enough.

🧸 The "Toy Box" (Interactive Sex Accessories)

I've added several new items that dynamically change how sex scenes play out:

The Vibe Egg: Gift this to an LI and they will randomly set the intensity. You can also ask to keep the remote and control her pleasure via a new HUD button. She might even text you during the day begging you to turn it up or down!

Ball Gags: Can be equipped on the MC or the LI. Wearing one completely blocks oral actions (kissing, blowjobs, etc.) and replaces all dialogue with muffled grunts and moans. PSA: a dominant LI might force you to wear it!

Butt Plugs: Wearable in and out of sex. They block anal actions but increase pleasure during vaginal sex, slowly training the LI's anal experience over time.

Tapes & Panties: Added Nipple Tape (grants passive kink), Pussy Tape (physically blocks all vaginal interactions), and Buttless Panties (which don't get stripped during anal actions).

Dildos: Gift these to an LI and it actually increases the chance they will masturbate in their free time.

🚪 Door Events & Peeping

Speaking of... did I mention? LI's can now masturbate in their free time if they're at their dorm. And you can catch them in the act.

Knock Knock: Approaching an LI's room now brings up a closed door menu. You can knock, try the handle (which will sometimes work), or if they already gave you a key, you can just unlock it and go in.

Catching Them: There is now a random chance to catch an LI masturbating (sometimes using the toys you bought them!) when you approach their door. How you handle it will influence your relationship.

Early Access: Because of this new system, I've tweaked the progression so Verity gives you the Staff Wing key much earlier in her affinity events. Her personal room key is still locked behind a later event, but this means you can start visiting her hallway to knock on her door (or catch her in her "me time") much, much sooner.

👗 Tattoos, Piercings & New Cosmetics

The Tattoo Parlor: You can take LI's here to get new piercings or tattoos. Verity has some new cosmetic options, like I mentioned last time. But just to reiterate:

Tattoos: Full gothic sleeve for both legs (can be bought separately), a spider web nipple tattoo, and an upside-down bat underboob tattoo.

Piercings: Ear tunnels and three different variants of nipple piercings.

Expanded Wardrobe: Added a black slit dress, black lace lingerie, and black lace buttless panties.
