"Receiving" Scene logic nearly done (Sneak Peeks included!) | Development Update #21 (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

I've made some solid progress on Verity's new vagina-exclusive "Receiving" scene. The back-end side of things is practically done; I just need to do more testing and produce Verity's cosmetics for this new pose (pieces of clothing, tattoos, accessories, etc.).

With that out of the way, let's get to the progress I've made on the scene, along with some gifs showcasing the scene in its entirety.

⚡Quick Alter Self casting & position gating

Now that new vagina-exclusive scenes are being added, I thought it'd be a good idea to allow the player to change their genitals pretty much at will, as long as they have the Alter Self spell. This "quick cast" version of the spell doesn't allow you to change your skin color, but on top of swapping your genitals, it also lets you change your body frame and breast size if you wish.

You can cast the spell from a new button at the top-right of the Intimacy Hub (a.k.a. the sex scene picker).

The gif above also shows the scene entry - as you can see, scenes are now gated behind which set of genitals you currently have, meaning you can't access penis-exclusive scenes while you have a vagina, and vice versa. If you have the Alter Self spell, Verity can still randomly ask you to switch positions to your favorite (or her favorite) even if your genitals are currently incompatible - in which case the Alter Self spell is cast automatically before switching!

🖐️Scene actions, off-hand actions, and climax

You enter the Receiving scene in the "Idle" state, where no main action is taking place. At any point in the scene, you can start off-hand actions (currently consisting of petting/grabbing Verity's head, or pinching your own nipples which increases the MC's pleasure gain), and change Verity's leg position (basically a 'hide/show legs and feet' button).

Unlike other "foreplay" scenes, you can take any action at any point, not necessarily needing to return to the "idle" state before picking a new action. Available "main" actions, in order of how "difficult" they are to achieve, are:

Vaginal Fingering (same difficulty as Handjob)

Cunnilingus (same difficulty as Blowjob)

Anal Fingering (about as hard as Missionary/Doggystyle foreplay entry)

Anilingus (slightly harder than anal fingering)

If Verity is in the "anal-only" path, the DC for anal-related actions is slightly lowered, as per usual.

And finally, the climax sequence shares much of the same logic as other existing scenes: when the MC's pleasure reaches maximum, you lose one climax charge and can pick a target. Your choice is evaluated against Verity's stats and a dice roll may be called, and then the climax visuals play out. I still need to work on the visuals for Verity getting wetter when the MC squirts on her, but it'll follow the same logic as the current cum visuals, just different aesthetically.

❓ Next steps

After I'm done with what's left of the Receiving scene, I'll move on to the Giving scene. I've experimented a bit with the visuals since last time I posted, and I'm fairly confident that I'll be able to recycle most (if not all) of the existing missionary visuals. If so, it'll probably take less development time than the Receiving scene! I still need to mock up the scenes to confirm my theory, but I'll let you all know once I find out for certain.
