Structuring the "Giving" Scene! | Development Update #23 (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

I've been having an eventful week, which has kept me from working on the new update as much as I'd have liked. Despite that, the back-end of the new "Giving" scene is practically done, and I'm now working on the visuals. It's a lot of copying, pasting, tweaking, and reviewing, because I'm reusing assets from both the Missionary and the Doggystyle scenes, along with a handful of new assets that I've had to make from scratch. Progress has been a bit slow, but steady.

Because of this, I don't have anything too exciting to show off just yet other than a couple gifs. But I want to break down the structure and flow of the scene so that you know exactly what to expect.

🔧 Scene Structure

The "Giving" scene will work very similarly to the Missionary and Doggystyle scenes. Once you enter it, you will be put in a "foreplay" state, where you can choose between several off-hand actions that raise Verity's pleasure gauge. At any point, you can turn Verity around, which will seamlessly swap the sprites between her Missionary and Doggystyle poses. Doing this also dynamically blocks or unblocks certain off-hand actions. For instance, you cannot lick Verity's nipples when she's on all fours, and you cannot pull her hair while she's lying on her back - those actions are position-specific!

From this state, you'll be able to pick between two main actions: using Verity's dildo on her (which requires you to have gifted her a dildo to begin with), or tribbing.

Using the dildo on Verity brings you to an "idle" state where you can pick between vaginal or anal insertion. This is self-explanatory, and works pretty much exactly like vaginal/anal penetration in the current scenes, allowing you to lower/raise the animation's speed or stop and go back to foreplay. I'll be able to reuse 90% of the existing missionary/doggystyle animations for this, which, as you can expect, will speed up the process significantly.

Tribbing will work similarly to grinding/hotdogging, except it will reward more pleasure to both parties. The bulk of the new animation work will come from this sub-scene, and I'll have to experiment and tinker with the animations and sound effects to make it look sexy and satisfying.

🔮 Future Additions

I've decided not to include this in the upcoming update, but I've already prepared the back-end side of things to introduce strap-on animations to this scene in the future. For a long time, I figured that in a setting where you can somewhat easily... grow a cock? Having strap-ons as an option seemed redundant. But I figured, since most of the animations are practically done anyway, having more options is always a good thing!

Like I said, this is not a priority right now. I'd rather have the basic dildo and tribbing positions done and working in v0.9.0 before I think about adding the strap-on option, but you can expect it at some point in the future whenever I can squeeze it into a lighter update.

And I think that's it for me! Sorry I don't have more exciting news, but I'm only now starting to work on the visuals, and I didn't want to delay the devlog post just to show off an extra gif or two. Next week I'll probably have much more to show, so stay tuned.
