AGT Gameplay V7 is a complete gameplay overhaul designed to make FC 26 feel heavier, more realistic, more physical, and more tactical. This version focuses on removing the arcade feeling of the default gameplay and replacing it with a more authentic football simulation where movement, passing, shooting, defending, AI decisions, and physical contact all feel more natural.
What Has Changed in AGT Gameplay V7
More Realistic Player Movement
Player movement has been rebuilt to feel more grounded and physical. Players no longer feel like they are sliding on ice or changing direction instantly without body weight. Acceleration, stopping, turning, sprinting, and body momentum now feel more realistic.
Players still feel responsive, but they now carry more weight when moving. Turning too quickly, sprinting into bad angles, or trying to instantly change direction will feel less arcade and more like controlling a real footballer.
Improved Sprinting, Dribbling, and Ball Control
Sprint acceleration, dribble speed, controlled sprint, and ball-touch timing have been adjusted to feel more natural. Players no longer move like they are glued to animations. The ball feels more connected to the player’s body movement, but mistakes and heavy touches can happen more naturally.
Good dribblers feel smoother and more dangerous, while average players feel less perfect when carrying the ball at speed.
Better Balance Between Responsiveness and Realism
Earlier versions of the gameplay concept were very realistic but could feel too slow for some players. V7 improves that balance. The gameplay is still heavy and physical, but now transitions, first steps, turning, passing, and shooting feel more responsive without returning to the vanilla arcade feeling.
More Physical Attributes and Player Differences
Player attributes now matter more. Strong players, fast players, technical players, good shooters, and good defenders should feel more different from each other.
Weak foot, skill moves, reactions, defensive awareness, physicality, and technical quality now have a bigger effect on gameplay. This makes elite players feel special while also making lower-rated players less unrealistically perfect.
Reworked Passing Physics
Ground passing has been changed to feel heavier and less automatic. Passes no longer feel like they are magnetically connected to the receiver. The ball now travels through space more realistically, giving defenders more time to read and intercept passes.
Short passes still feel usable, but midfield passing now requires better timing, better body shape, and better decision-making.
Improved Midfield Gameplay
One of the biggest goals of V7 is to bring back the midfield battle. In the default game, the ball often moves too quickly from defense to attack, skipping the midfield too easily.
With this version, passes have more realistic travel time, interceptions are more natural, and midfield positioning matters more. Build-up play feels more tactical instead of just fast ping-pong passing.
Reworked Through Balls
Ground through balls have been adjusted so they are no longer automatic escape passes. They still reward good timing and good vision, but bad through balls are easier to intercept.
The ball is now played into space more realistically, and the receiver is no longer assisted too perfectly. Timing, player movement, and the passer’s quality matter much more.
Reworked Lobbed Through Balls
Lobbed through balls now feel more like real chipped passes into space. Elite passers can play sharper, flatter, more dangerous balls over the defensive line, while poor passers create floatier and riskier deliveries.
Defenders now have more time to recover, track the ball, and challenge for the dropping zone. Lobbed through balls are still useful, but they are no longer an easy automatic way to beat the defense.
Improved Crossing and Wide Play
Crossing logic has been tuned so crosses feel more physical and less random. Low crosses, high crosses, ground crosses, and different crossing situations have been adjusted to make wide play more realistic.
The goal is to make crosses feel dangerous when delivered properly, while poor crosses can be overhit, underhit, or easier for defenders to attack.
Better Crossing Delivery
Crossing have been improved to create better service into the box. Delivery is more suitable for dangerous headers, especially when aiming for powerful attacking runs.
More Physical Header System
Headers have been adjusted to feel stronger and more natural. Header speed, power, contact, and elevation have been tuned so good aerial players feel more dangerous.
Power headers and bullet headers are more possible when the delivery and body position are correct, but poor contact will still feel weaker or less accurate.
Reworked Shooting Physics
Shooting has been heavily changed. Normal shots now depend more on body shape, balance, fatigue, player attributes, and shot power.
Clean shots from good players feel more powerful and dangerous. Bad-angle shots, rushed shots, tired shots, and low-quality finishes are less perfect. The ball feels heavier, and shot outcomes feel more earned.
Reworked Power Shots
Power shots have been rebuilt into a true high-risk, high-reward mechanic. A clean power shot from a balanced elite player can feel explosive and dangerous, but the player must earn it.
If the player is off-balance, tired, facing the wrong direction, or rushing the shot, the power shot can lose accuracy, rise too much, drag wide, or miss badly. Power shots no longer feel like an arcade special move.
Less Magnetic Aim Assistance
Shot and pass assistance has been reduced in many areas. The game will no longer save bad aim as much as before. Passing and shooting now require better timing, better positioning, and better decision-making.
This makes the gameplay feel less scripted and more skill-based.
Smarter and More Human AI
AI behavior has been adjusted to feel more human and less predictable. The AI is encouraged to make more realistic decisions in attack, use space better, release the ball faster, attempt more dangerous actions, and avoid endless safe recycling.
The AI should now attack with more purpose, especially in watch-mode or AI-vs-AI gameplay.
Improved AI Attacking Decisions
AI shot decisions, through passes, crossing decisions, dribbling decisions, and forward actions have been tuned to create more realistic attacking play.
The AI should be more willing to shoot, attack space, use through balls, cross into dangerous areas, and take advantage of openings instead of constantly passing backward or recycling possession.
Better AI vs AI / Watch Mode Gameplay
V7 includes changes designed to improve AI vs AI matches. The goal is to reduce boring 0–0 matches, increase attacking intent, create more shots, and make matches feel more alive.
AI teams should now create more chances, take more risks, and produce more varied match outcomes.
More Realistic Defensive Positioning
Defensive positioning has been adjusted to create more compact and believable defensive shapes. Zonal defending, interceptions, marking, and defensive reactions have been tuned so defenders behave more naturally.
Defenders should track danger better, hold shape more intelligently, and react to passing lanes more realistically.
Improved Marking and Interceptions
Marking logic and interception behavior have been tuned so defenders feel more aware without becoming robotic. Good defenders should position themselves better, close lanes more naturally, and punish bad passing choices.
This makes midfield and defensive play more tactical.
More Physical Referee Logic
Foul logic has been heavily improved. The game now better understands the difference between winning the ball cleanly and making unfair body contact.
Bad tackles, late tackles, poor-angle tackles, body barges, shirt pulling, pushing, and repeated physical harassment are now judged more realistically.
Better Ball Contact vs Player Contact Fouls
The foul system now looks more realistically at both ball contact and player contact.
Winning the ball cleanly still matters, but simply touching the ball will not always save a reckless tackle. If the defender also hits the player badly, arrives late, or tackles from a poor angle, the foul is more likely to be called.
More Realistic Shirt Pulling and Physical Holding
Push, pull, and shirt-pull logic has been tuned so cynical defending is punished more often. Players can still use legal body pressure, but repeated pulling, holding, or dragging an attacker is now riskier.
This makes counterattacks and physical duels feel more realistic.
Improved Goalkeeper Behavior
Goalkeeper-related AI behavior has been adjusted to make finishing and shot outcomes feel more believable. Keepers should not feel impossible, but they also should not behave randomly. Their positioning and vulnerability are better balanced for more realistic goal chances.
More Realistic Injury and Collision Logic
Injury and collision logic has been adjusted to make physical matches feel more believable. Fatigue, contact, and collisions have more influence, helping the game feel less clean and less arcade.
More Authentic Match Tempo
The overall match tempo is now more realistic. The game should feel less like constant end-to-end arcade football and more like a real match with buildup, pressure, mistakes, physical battles, midfield transitions, and tactical momentum.
What You Will Feel In-Game Overall
Players will immediately feel that the game is heavier, more physical, and more realistic. Movement has more weight, passes are less automatic, shots feel more earned, and defending requires better timing.
The ball no longer feels magnetized to players. Midfield battles matter more. AI teams attack with more purpose. Fouls feel more realistic. Power shots feel dangerous but risky. Through balls and lobbed passes require better timing.
