Holy shit yes! Combining two of my biggest passions! I know what your favorite team should be. The underdogs of the PL and one of the few top clubs that don't depend on a rich owner, Tottenham Hotspur. The club has a rich history with the Jewish community of North London as well, which is very intertwined with the culture around the club. The fans are also quite coy. We even say "COYS" (Come On You Spurs)!

Karl

Not another football podcast 🙈

Probably gunna be quite lonely here, but any saints fans here??

Jake and Amir... ask anyone who knows me and they will say I have two true loves in my life. Jake and Amir and West Ham United. To see you guys support my club would make me so incredibly blessed you have no idea. So here is my pitch to you on why you should support West Ham United. You shouldn't want to support one of the biggest clubs straight away. That's a bandwagon move and as an American sports fan you should hate that more than anything. Unless you have a family root to that club, it just isn't right that you should just come in during Liverpool's glory years (right now) and say "I'm a Liverpool fan now!". Nah. West Ham have recently (and mostly throughout histroy) been a mid-table club. Right now, we are on the rise. This past December we got our most points in a month ever. This past summer we made a lot of new young, really good signings (Felipe Anderson, Lukas Fabianski, etc) and we're looking to make a push into Europa League (which is essentially the tournament where 5th and 6th place teams go). Our club has a ton of history. Bobby Moore is considered the best English player to ever play and he was the West Ham captain for 10 seasons. We’ve been around since the 19th century and the fans at West Ham are considered one of the most passionate in the league. I’m not going to lie to you… It’s very unlikely we’ll win the league anytime soon but I urge you to see the bigger picture and realize that it’s not about that. It’s about waking up at 10am and rooting for your club because you just love everything about the club. I’ll be waking up at 7:30am on Saturday to watch us probably get smacked by Arsenal but I am going to do it and you better know I’m freaking excited to do it because this is my passion. PLEASE if you want to know anything more about the club give me a shout. I love this club more than anything and to get the chance to give probably my two biggest “celebrities” that mean the most to me is just a pleasure in its own right. It’s also 4:45am and I don’t feel like spell checking so sorry for typos. #COYI

The only choice is Liverpool. Any other is not only wrong, but very wrong. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!

Brian Murphy

Pick Arsenal. Beautiful football for beautiful people.

Toby Champneys

This is unreal lads, great year to start watching the PL too! I want you to support Liverpool, but you should watch some games and you'll definitely find yourself loving and hating pretty quickly.

Jake B

Tottenham Hotspur, fur shur

Kyle Welker

I am so happy my favorite podcasters are now talking football!!! Ps. Love you Rahul

Donnie Payne

This is perfect me I’ve been wanting to get into soccer too, but I can’t in good conscience make a decision without a full episode about boner-mouth!

Jake B

Mascot: Cockerel, Top Scorer: Harry Kane, Jewish cultural history, haven't won a Premier League title yet but are always competitive.

There should be a segment where we submit the best prem chants. I would submit the Jamie vardys having a party! #chatshitgetbanged

2026-09-26 20:00 This guy's bias is too much for me. Liverpool & Man City's market value is very similar. He belittles Manchester City's accomplishments by saying "they just spent a billion pounds" without giving any credit to Guardiola or the players.

Jake sounds pretty sold on liverpool, but you should both have different teams. Amir would be interested in the story of manchester united, it draws comparisons to the lakers. Rich history of winning and great players, still have a great team but are in kind of a rebuilding stage since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. Try to find a manchester united fan to talk to please!

Jake seems like an Everton supporter to me

Very keen on this podcast! Been wanting to get into it myself as I am from the UK but grew up overseas so I havent been immersed in the Football culture. Yes dudes 🙌🏼❤️

Maxime Gavronsky

Jake and Amir, you guys would love Everton. Everton are not a big 6 team, but they are constantly challenging for top 5 and they are a quality side with good players. They have a lot of fun players and are an interesting team to watch because they aren't an auto win, and they make every game interesting since they can easily challenge the bigger teams. They also have been the home to two of the best American football players ever (Tim Howard, Landon Donavon) . Long story short go Everton, the OG liverpool club.

Maxime Gavronsky

Oh and their nickname is the toffees, which is obviously awesome

As a Brit born and bred who isn't that into football besides watching the big or the occasional match when its on the TV I learnt a lot from this. This is definitely being added to my list of podcast to listen to. Looking forward to joining this journey with Jake and Amir.

Anyone else watching the Liverpool game right now? This is the first EPL match I’ve seen and I’m loving it

bmea

Yes dude!

So excited you guys are doing this, the DMs worked!! You should definitely root for Spurs (and ya boi Harry Kane!)- fast attacking play, competitive underdogs. Huge highs like winning against top world teams like Real Madrid and devastating lows after losses against recently promoted Wolves.

Sveinung Bjørnstad

A slightly painful listen tbh, not exactly the perfect guest to fill you in... I feel like any other team than the big dogs is out of the question, but if not let it be Wolves. Back in the Prem with a point to prove after two disastrous relegations in 2012 and 2013. Future looking very bright
