Plus we discuss the difference between screamers, worldy's and golazos.

This pod is making me a fan of the EPL too

Eoin

West Ham, Palace and Bournemouth all good choices for a fun mid table team. Should also have a look at Watford, Leicester and Wolves. Also Amir, watching Green street is a must if you want to understand West Ham fans.

Emmet Colin

Honestly if you’re looking for a good team to support now I would say West Ham is probably not it. While they are fluctuating and that can be fun to watch they still have an odd past and often don’t play by the rules doing sketchy moves (see signing of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano aka 2007 transfer saga). If the sketchy nature of the club doesn’t scare you away by all means support the hammers. Very cool name West Ham, a hammer. At Arsenal we are the fucking Gunners. That has to be worth something right?

Jerk and Amish, you guys should listen to "The Football Ramble" podcast. It's these four funny British lads discussing the latest news and results (mainly from the Premier League). You'll pick up on a lot of slang, info, and culture titbits that will expand your views on soccer. They're also very funny as their banter is absolute class (except Pete)

Nick Matthews

Love the pod so far. Even if you guys don't keep it up, it has added some really great content. Men in Blazers is another pod that has fantastic humor. They might give good cases for supporting Everton or Chelsea. (Don't support Chelsea, London is red)

Reed Schuknecht

Did Amir take a bathroom break in the middle there?

Gus Rachels

Speaking as someone who chose a "mid-table" club and is now following the EFL Championship instead of the Premier League - if you go for mid-table, get comfortable with the possibility of getting relegated, and ask yourself if you'd stick with your team through it. If not, probably choose a top six team. Outside of the top six and Everton, the teams in the EPL that are on their longest active streak without being relegated are Southampton and West Ham, and they've only been in the league (this run) since 2012. The EPL is a meat grinder below those top six clubs, because, like Tom and Conor said, all the "lesser" clubs' best players get poached, and eventually they'll strike out on moneyball and go down. I'm all for going the mid-table route - I'd much rather see a West Ham kit in the wild than a Liverpool kit. Just know what you're getting into 😂

Roland Yolandi

that would be a weird reason not to support a team, not to mention no-one connected with that transfer is still at west ham.

Elliot Philpott

Great stuff as always! As an arsenal fan, I recommend you guys watch the documentary ‘89’, pretty sure it’s on Netflix. It covers the 1989 season, one of the greatest endings to a league season ever! Also, If you choose to support the gunners, you can enjoy hashtags such as #FULARS, which was trending when we faced Fulham earlier this season.

Patrick McCallion

If you want to go truly underdog, get on board with Leeds United. Championship team currently sitting at number 2, hotly tipped for promotion this season. A real northern spirit to the fans and our defender Pontus Jansson is a true nordic Hardwon Surefoot of himself. I'm serious.

Pete Keenlyside

Jake I think you should go for Tottenham. As they said in the pod, if you’re gonna go for a top six team it should be them. They play really good football, they have amazing players (Kane, Son, Alli, Eriksen etc.), and it’d be the perfect blend of highs and lows. Plus you’d get to watch Champions League, which is arguably the best version of football there is. They’re at a crossroads right now, moving into a new stadium, it could either be the start of a new era of dominance or they could lose all their players and coach and crumble into mediocrity. Either way, it’ll be exciting so go for Spurs!

Gus Rachels

Agreed. If you go top six, Tottenham's the way to go

Tom Fordyce

Please stop slagging off city every episode. We do exist and are not the worst.

Tom Fordyce

I'll redact this for mr West ham'sfair summation of the club

Eli Hanft

This is AWESOME! Huge Leeds fan here, Bielsa gonna take us back to Revie era!

Benjamin Simpson

Yes Jake! I live in Bonermouth and its an awesome, I will take you to a game any time you come down! love this podcast

Jon Silva

+1 Jake keeps coming back to Spurs. Follow your heart!

Oscar bartels

Support Arsenal! They have a great history and don’t spend huge amounts of money like Chelsea and both Manchester’s. We haven’t won the league for 16 years but we are also the only team to ever win the league without going a game undefeated we have also won the most FA cups which is kind of like the playoffs. We are not the clear favourites but will challenging for a title in the next 1-4 seasons. Also we have the best looking attackers and jersey.

Merl B Prichard

Spurs are easily the most exciting team to watch right now. Enough said

Daniel Svensson

I love the podcast but it really was obvious that they weren't in the same room. It felt like Amish was not in the conversation with the others.

Mo

Was this episode recorded in 7 different rooms? Great episode nonetheless, really good guests.

Justin Parker

I’ve also started getting into soccer after the World Cup, and I’ve been really enjoying getting acquainted with the EPL with you guys. Keep it up!

Leo

Absolutely love the podcast. I'm in the same boat as you guys and am choose my team along with you. I'm leaning Tottenham. Just curious about the upload schedule. Is this just a random schedule or do you have something more concrete in mind?

Andrew Greener

Will we be getting more of these? I want to continue my patronage but only started so I could listen to their football podcast. I like them both but don't take in much of their other content.

David

You guy started an EPL show.... and now "Amir" (I'm here).. still getting through them... not sure if you guys have picked teams yet but Rahul has it right ;) Love hearing you guys chat footie! YNWA

William Timmins

As an Englishman and proud football fan I really want to love these but it's so hard to listen to when you're just getting clueless guests who have no idea what they're taking about on :(

Alex Sundin

but only if youre both Everton supporters

Joseph Herzog

WHY HAVE THERE ONLY BEEN 5 EPISODES OF THISSSS

Josh Crane

Let's get this back boys. It's time.
