On Parachute: Just look up the history of Hayley Williams and Taylor York(Paramore's lead guitarist)'s relationship. Most of the fandom interprets that a lot of the EDAABP album seems to revolve around struggles within their relationship/a potential breakup. No official word from Hayley as of yet, though, and seeing as how private their relationship has always been, we probably won't get it for quite a while, if ever.

Okay time to lore dump about parachute. Mind you none of this is confirmed confirmed. So Hayley and Chad Gilbert from NewFoundGlory are dating for like 10 years. Hayley is 18 and Chad is mid 20s when they meet. He is not yet divorced from his wife. Hayley is technically the other woman. On a plane from Rio (fans speculate 2013) Taylor asks if Hayley ever thinks about them as a couple. He’s into her. Same year, 2013, Chad cheats on Hayley and they break up. Get back together and he proposed. They get married In 2016. Taylor is there and he is drunk. Watching the woman he loves marry someone they both know is unfaithful. Hayley says if he had asked, she would have run away with him. Hayley and Chad get divorced. Hayley and Paramore create some absolute bangers about it (after laughter mostly) Taylor and Hayley finally start dating and they have a breakup of sorts then get back together. She writes petals for armor and flowers for vases about moving on from Chad and falling in love with Taylor. Anyway. Sounds like Taylor broke up with Hayley again this last winter 2024 after the eras tour with Taylor swift. The girl Hayley is talking about at the beginning is the child she imagined she and Taylor had. With Taylor’s signature spiral curls.

So Olivia DID end up having to retroactively give Taylor and Jack writing credits on some songs on Sour due to copyright issues, and I do think this was one of the songs. She also had to give Paramore credits as well. 🫣 there is speculation that Vampire and I think another song is about that situation, but she said it wasn’t 😬

I knew you'd love that Olivia song!! That chorus always gets me in the feels with how raw it is. Seeing you react to more Florence makes me happy, she truly is one of the greats!! Now Hayley, the reason I didn't say Parachute is because the lore is so deep and we're all still recovering. Lol I still say Crystal Clear would be a good next song. It's a happier love song about Taylor (York) and shows her softer side. Also, the instrumental of it all has a church organ vibe that makes you feel like you're ascending. Lol She kept performing it on their last tour. Definitely want you guys to hear the new stuff but the older stuff is so good too if you're into hearing her solo stuff.
