Crown Prince would be a perfect partner to talk about all these assassination attempts with. And tbf, that last scene hints that she actually might like him. She misses his presence. I was kind of sad about the 9th prince, standing so long outside like a punished, loyal dog. Also, Noble Consort Rong mentioned the 6th prince might want Xihe's hand too. Have we met him? I can't recall us ever seeing him, or him ever being mentioned before.
