About Madam Zuo. As far as I understand, she is forced to live in isolation for the Fu family to get the 4th arch Grandma wants. Basically, they receive those arches for each widow who remains unmarried for the rest of her life. Grandma, Tingyun's mother, and Madam Zuo's mother-in-law might be the three who have already earned them (not sure, maybe other ancestor women), and Madam Zuo is meant to be the 4th. They represent the chastity and virtue of the Fu family. That's why they are so harsh to her. She doesn't really want that widowed life, so they imprison her to keep her in check. Grandma has given her many promises of this and that just to get that lady in the line she wants. So, in the end, even if I dislike Madam Zuo, I really get why she's a bit crazy, so pitiful, bitter, and maybe even a little bit rebellious at times in there. And also, if they marry Yake to Tingyun's brother, Tingzhuo, if he dies, she is bound to share the same fate as Madam Zuo. That's what her warning/insight was about in that alleyway when she cut Yake's hand. And to me, it already looks like Mr Yu and Yake might have some romantic interest in each other. I can only hope Yake won't turn on Tingyun for that but considering that scene where she compared the superiority of gold over silver, it really does look like she will. And Ling and Tingyun finally met eye to eye! I can't wait to see how their dynamic will be and how it will play out now! So, so excited! 🤗

Wow, I'm loving this drama! I love the atmosphere, and the filtering and editing are all well done. The budget and quality are excellent; WetTV is delivering so much. The story is incredibly interesting; I'm loving it so much!
