Another good episode! I don’t think Young Master Yu truly fell in love with Tingyun. He has always loved his feeling rather than a person. He loved Yake because she represented his rebellion against his mother; now he is drawn to Tingyun because she represents the person he wishes he could become — someone who breaks through an oppressive environment and achieves something by themselves. But instead of putting effort to become one of those people, Yu just want to keep Tingyun under control and by his side.

Imagining how much we loved Cui Jinbai in BoP and how much we hate Yu Jingxiu here just says a lot about how good the actor's talent is to make us dislike his character this much. But damn, Yucheng... not only did he falsify records, but half of those heads were civilians — that's definitely going to bite them back. I am getting very anxious about that. But yeeeey, I loved the confession and kiss! Finally! They were beautiful! 🥰
