Huchen literally means “a tiger-like loyal subject.” It symbolizes a brave and powerful subject who serves and protects the emperor and the realm, so it is a high praise from the emperor. But on the other hand, tigers do not live in groups and usually work alone.

Bear with me, please, as I have plenty of thoughts after this episode. 😅 Firstly, I am super happy they finally met, but I worry a little about how their relationship will be now. Both have changed so much. Also, considering how Tingyun was repeatedly humiliated by Yake and indirectly by some other ladies about Commander Ling not having a betrothed, nor that he would ever return to her whilst he was in the capital for weeks, she might be a little upset with him now. He wanted to protect her from physical harm, but his actions caused all this. I really hope we get to see them as wholesome as before, because they will need each other's shoulders, advice, strength and love to stand against the storms of the capital. Secondly, as for the villains, I do think Madam Yu's husband could be the one in the red robe who asked for Ling's death in the previous episode — he observed him so much in every scene they were together. And that wasn't a friendly look. Also, I agree with you about Madam Yu's game still being a mystery. My suspicion is she might want to get Tingyun as her friend so she could use her later to aid her husband in taking down Zhao Ling. Luckily, our girl is way smarter now about who to trust and who not to. About Yake — it's quite ridiculous how after all these years she still feels threatened by Tingyun. She even has a son with Jingxiu, so her position in the Yu family should be solid now, right? Very good point on that lady from before (the lady with the white dog). I haven't thought about her much, but it's still hard to distinguish if she's a potential friend or foe. But I think we should be wary of those two new ladies from Madam Yu's hometown. I couldn't guess their game yet, but I am assuming the older one might try to marry the younger one either into the Yu family as a concubine or even make an attempt to seduce Ling since he's more powerful than Jingxiu. But, since she's young, I am also considering that she might as well fall in love with Sen on her own. They are more or less of the same age now, and she said it herself, she wants to marry a good man to get away from that older lady, and Sen is a good guy in all my books.
