Ready for more? Buckle up, because we're back for the final season of Young Royals. 💙 👑

We hope you enjoy our reaction to Episode 2 of Season 3. It's been quite the ride so far; watching Simon and Wilhelm and the rest of the crew navigate their time at Hillerska and, unfortunately, things are coming to a close. But in true Young Royals fashion, it won't be going down without a fight. 😆

Stay tuned for the rest of Young Royals! 👀

I love your reaction and U going to love next episode but there be still up and down for wille and Simon so I hope U are ready and I can't wait for the next one

Lauren

Wile joining the choir just so he can see Simon outside of class ( when he haaaates attention & clearly hs symptoms of anxiety) is seriously one of my favorite moments in the whole series. He loves him so much 🥹 Also love the look Felice gives him as he walks into that rehearsal- like omg, you are such a dork. 😂

Great reaction. I also think Simon's reaction was off base. He talks about how that he and Ayub have had to work since they were 14 every summer. Well, Wille's job is 24/7 with no off time. He's at school and still has to deal with PR stuff. He can't just be a kid. Simon is now getting a taste of that and instead of making them closer, it's tearing them apart. That's my defense of WIlle. Now onto my defense of Simon. Simon was a boy who liked another boy then the world exploded with the video. I love Linda but Simon also needs to deal with that violation, she should have gotten him to see a therapist. There's one at the school and everything. But she could have gotten him to see someone to deal with that kind of violation. I agree he shouldn't read the comments but he's sixteen and wants acceptance so much. As for August, he needed help when his father died and it seems that was not given to him or any time since.

Since you like the dynamic of the cast so much I highly recommend you guys to watch the YR documentary „Young Royals Forever“ after you’ve finished the season. It’s so good! 😍🙌🏽

@baydreamer

Sidenote: Bradley's hair is making me giddy this episode. 😍

The horrible on line comments were based on real comments Omar Rudberg receives.

Life is still simpler when you have money. When life is crap and you have money it is one less big thing to worry about. Imagine if Linda couldn't work because of depression. Simon's family may well end up homeless or Simon would have to leave school and work.

i don't think the conflict with wille and simon is about the fact they're both working - it's the regarding class and socio-economic status. it doesn't matter whether or not wille works - despite the fact he is - he would still be well off. simon and ayub HAVE to work to survive. i don't think either of them as it fault in the conflict in this episode - it's just a lot of bad communication and tensions running high. the reality is that wille DOES see it the way he argued - that he's working and doesn't have a choice. simon also believes what he says too - which is that he and ayub don't have a choice. these aren't easy emotions to talk about at that age - especially them coming from their respective backgrounds. also, the timing is bad because simon's just seen his friends come over and talk and then they've basically been made to leave so that makes simme feel like shit, leading to the argument.

Linda wouldn't be able to afford a therapist. Nurses make around 3000 USD per month and therapist would be around 120USD/60min. So, again classism, some can afford to take care of their kids, some not.

Karoliina

You should at this point know better 🤣😉 Of course the cute and fun camping trip cannot end well. 🤣

Karoliina

"Intoxicated" was a good description of their on-screen chemistry. I don't have to remind you (especially since you saw the London video) that it roots from their equally intoxicating off-screen/IRL chemistry. They now also own Omar's beaty company together, Edvin is a shareholder and co-owner. So they are the best friends, colleagues and business partners now. And on top of that they are each other's babygirls for life. And it looks great on camera. 💜

Karoliina

Next episode is so great. One of the greatest cinematography and soundtrack of all of the episodes. There's lot to tell about the music choices, but I'll get to that when you have published your reaction.

The beard is looking great Bradley!

I honestly get both of their sides in the argument. But I lean more towards Simon. Simon has been very clear from season 1 episode 1 ,when he met Wille, that he isn't for the monarchy and that he thinks they're incredibly privileged and corrupt. But at the same time, i do agree that being crown prince is a difficult job, at least mentally. It's a lot of emotional and mental stress, especially for a teenager to be taking on. That being said.. Wilhelm could step down and still be perfectly fine. He'd be letting his family down and letting August take the role which he doesn't want to do. But he'd still be part of the royal family. He'd still have a house, food, water, clothing, money etc. Quitting his job would only really result in an emotional consequence. That he's privileged enough to get the best therapists to help him overcome. But for the lower class like Simon and his friends a job is a necessity to survive. They don't have a choice in the matter because if they quit or lose their job they might not be able to afford school, or food, or clothes, or rent etc. So it is a bit different. I think Wille specifically saying he was going to be working "Just like you" to Rosh, when referring to his prince lessons, was the main issue. Because it isn't the same situation, even if they're both doing some type of work. One is doing it for status, prestige, and obligation. While the other is doing it to help their family afford necessities. I think Simon seeing that divide happen between Wille and his friends in real time, and the fact that divide went right over Wille's head, is why Simon was upset. Because it does kinda highlight the fact that his boyfriend is part of the privileged corrupt system that he's always been openly against. So yeah, I get both sides, but Simon is right that Wille doesn't realize how privileged he is. Also.. Wille shushing Simon and bringing up the settlement money to try and win the argument was out of line.

Great reaction. Can't wait for E3. Soon, I hope. By the way, we may need to see your IDs for Episode 3. Not sure you're old enough. 🤣

At Omar's show in Stockholm the other day, during the Q&A someone asked if he sees the cast very often. He said not as much as Edvin and said "we can't get enough of each other, apparently" and laughed. They're adorable. I love their friendship so much.

Karoliina

Yes, saw that. I'm so happy that they also obviously have decided that they don't want to hide their friendship, or whatever it is that they have, anymore. They were laying low for over a year, mostly because of the cruel social media mobbing Edvin was subjected to. I hope (some of the) Omar -fans are going to be more respectful this time around.

Steven Jump

If the Queen doesn't get better, then she will have to step down as Queen. Which means instead of him becoming King a couple decades later, he could be King in a matter of weeks. I'm sure that he's freaking out mentally right now.

Regarding the awful social media comments directed at Simon, it's even worse: I read the YR head writer say that some of the online comments they use in the show (this episode and others) were pulled verbatim or based on actual hate Edvin and Omar have been the targets of online...

Marstrand

Loving your reactions 💙💜. I feel so bad for Wilhelm who is under so much pressure now, and I’m mad at the royal court for not pr training Simon. They put everything it on Wilhelm instead to tell Simon what to do. They should sit down and teach Simon since this is all new to him. And I would like to take Simon’s phone away. Stop looking at the comments. Nothing good comes from that 😏. They do look cute together though when they have their short moments of love.

Ludy

That is so sad. Why are people so awful?!

sobelou

Loved your reaction! I'm just getting too used to enjoying your insights on what's going on in the show!! BTW, that beard is coming along nicely, just that short stubble actually highlights your facial features without hiding them (sorry, but I must have missed the moment and to this day I don't know who's who (blushed face) but both of you guys are so good-looking, articulate and empathetic. Thanks again!

Ellie

THE LORE😭😭🥹… or “whatever it is that they have”….. WE SUPPORT ALL these choices on & off screen! ☺️🤭.

Ellie

Same, the lengths Wille will go to spend some MORE time with Simon is actually soo soo beautiful! Our “iam not LIKE THAT” guy has come SOO FAR, 😭😭, S1 Wille would be in SHOCK if he knew in a span of a FEW MONTHS, the same guy he kissed in a darkened room at a window sill in Ep 2 would be the same guy he is doing everything to kiss for another 5 Mins🥹

Inna Kajaste

I'm watching through your YR reactions to combat the withdrawal symptoms of SKAM 😄 and just decided to come with some Nordic/European trivia here: pretty much 100% of people learn to drive stick, even if your car is/will be automatic.

Nora Marie

I agree with you, but I don't think it's that high anymore. Most of the people in my school a few years back learned automatic, but I wager it's maybe 50/50 ish now. But yes, it was like that a few years back, and it would still be helpful considering the vehicles we still have that use manual. But it is a good Nordic/European trivia to share! /pos☺️

Inna Kajaste

Heh yeah, should've guessed times change 😅 I got my driver's license almost 16 years ago 🤭
