kyngqueer

you said in season one you are considering doing these seasons as double episodes, are you no longer doing that? 😊

Lilly Mari 🇧🇻🌿

I am not patient enough for this!! I've been checking my phone all day to see if it got posted and I just finished watching 🫠 Need moooore😭😂

Bradam Reacts

Billie

ive always wanted to say this but the brow game is so strong with you guys

Marie Emelia

That date is so frustrating to watch, because he manage to get under the wire and she's starting to warm up to him a little bit. He really is a gaslighter 🤮

j-l

''are you a lesbian?'' VILDE HAD A POINT IDC!! IN MY PERFECT WORLD SHE IS😭😭 14 year old me wanted eva and noora together so bad (i still do a decade later)

rose

lmfaooo i love yalls reactions to william

rose

They said in a YouTube post that they'll only be able to do 1 episode per video because they're moving (and planning something special???) :)

kyngqueer

thank you so much!

August

love noora down but anytime william is on my screen my skin itches like why is he here

sean carter

no shade.. some of the stuff william was saying about vilde was true lol. one comment can't bring down ur self worth unless it was already bad already....

Bradam Reacts

okay TRUE but she’s just a girl he didn’t need to say all that 😭😭😭😭 LMAOOO

Bradam Reacts

vilde has a natural intuition. nora’s canonically gay in my book 😭😌

sean carter

yea but I think a lot of what we do we side with people because we see their POV... Eva cheated and was wrong but a lot of people acted like she did nothing... Vilde was a BEG and very clearly came onto william and like he said he never promised anything to her... so how is he a demon for that ? lol

j-l

REAL! thats a whole lesbian

Sophie Sjösten

William thinking that it's ok to tell someone they're not pretty in front of his and her friends is so off. But I guess we have to remember they are teenagers, and teenagers lack common sense sometimes. 😂

Anne27x

I don’t think he’s a demon for not wanting to be with Vilde, but the way he handled that is not great in my opinion. I’m trying to remember if we saw him try to end things in a different way, but he also could have said “I’m not looking for a relationship and this was a one time thing” or something like that idk. telling an insecure girl that she’s not pretty enough is shitty, and the date scene shows us that he basically doesn’t care. however - while it’s really frustrating, some things he said during the date are true. Like Vilde’s self esteem being low already and the fact that Noora is lying to her friends.

Becca

this is such a poor take. he mightn’t have “promised her anything” but he knew she was interested in him and he took advantage of that. and then when she continued to be interested in him, he was needlessly cruel to her, in front of her & his friends, when he could’ve kindly said he thinks she’s a nice girl, but he isn’t interested in anything further. he’s consistently rude and manipulative.

Becca

Noora & William are a classic emotionally abusive, toxic mix. William is a through & through narcissist, and Noora is incredibly empathetic. He sees that, gaslights her, manipulates the situation and it makes her question herself. I HATEEE him.

sean carter

I agree.. you have a poor take.

Olha77

I haven't watched this season in years. It's not my favorite. But while I was waiting for your reaction, I've been watching other reactions on youtube - and finally I got the feeling that Noora and William are good together. Even though I'm not a fan of Thomas Hayes' (Wilhelm) acting, the script and the building of his character are beautiful. Big applause to Julie Andem, a beautiful lady inside and out, I've met her and can say that with 100% certainty.

Anne27x

hi!! be careful with spoilers, they don’t know anything about the rest of the season yet! 🙈

Patrick

I can’t help but laugh each time we see Isak🤳😮🫣 with Sara. But . . . the laughter dies pretty quickly when William comes on screen. Make him go away, make him go away!

IAmom

So William - he might have said the wrong thing to Vilde - it could have been done better, but he’s a kid - and everything else he is saying is not wrong - I like that he makes Noora think about things from different perspectives.

audrey

agreed. i can’t get over him acting like noora was wrong for calling him out & doubling down on him calling vilde not pretty enough

Flo

You might wanna edit your comment because it’s kinda spoiler-y

Flo

William has some valid points. He never did promise Vilde anything other than sex and Vilde was already insecure before his comment. BUT that doesn’t mean his methods are justified! There are 100 different ways he could’ve let Vilde know he wasn’t interested without it involving her looks. There’s a middle ground here and that’s what he’s missing. We can only hope he learned and grew from it eventually.

Mo

This!!! Some of these comments are harsh. They are all teenagers that make mistakes and need room to grow

Olha77

I have edited a little, but originally I have not written anything about the actual plot of the series, just my opinion, I think they have a clue that there will be some development between Noora and William?

SP

People are so harsh on the character of William. Every single person in this show fucks up big time one way or another. They do shitty things, they're teenagers. William is a classic 18 year old who's never had to really think about people's feelings because his actions never really had consequences, until Noora. Allow him that transition time we do it to all the other characters. The visible ick every time he shows up on screen killlllls me though

Bradam Reacts

Isak and Sara is actually hilarious 😭😭😭

benita lin

Vilde might not get a lot of things right, but she was onto something here… If there was one thing I could rewrite about Skam, I would've made Noora a lesbian 🥲 The feminist killjoy of your friend group to realizing you're gay pipeline is so very real THE MATERIAL IS THERE!!! The constant jabs at William are too funny "He would be a man that listens to the Weekend" LMAOOO you're getting him for literally anything 💀

benita lin

Also love the pure chaos of Eva celebrating Eskild's fake birthday (if I remember correctly, there was an Insta post the next day of Eva completely hungover in Noora's bed LOL). Poor Eskild is constantly getting caught up in Noora's lying shenanigans 😭 Their texts during this season are hilarious too: Eskild: What's up? Are you celebrating international women's day at Youngstorget? Noora: Yes Eskild: What slogan are you supporting? "Proud Uptight Bitches"? Noora: Yes. Inspired by your slogan from Gay Pride 2015, "Rimming could also be considered a work out" Eskild: Baaam. Slap in the face (https://skamseason2.tumblr.com/post/158454666770/season-2-episode-2-post-11-texts-between-noora)

Olha77

exactly!

Gabriela B

can't wait for the next episode, one of my favssssss

Mark Edwards

The glimpse into Sana's backstory was amusing but I found the episode mostly annoying. I think Norra made a big mistake letting William take her to the deserted lookout point. Not just because she shouldn't trust him. You're going out of obligation so you should at least make him do something fun. I would have been, "Hey Mr. 911, you can clearly afford dinner and a show of some sort. I'm not a cheap blanket and thermos of hot cocoa girl." Actually reminds me of how a date I didn't want to be on pivoted in a few seconds to become one of the most memorable nights of my life. But it's off topic here so I'll post the story over in the general chat. Just a couple of hints: Involves New York theater scene and major celebrity close encounter.

Simon

When analyzing the character of William I think it's important to ignore his fuckboy appearance and just look at him the same way you look at the other characters in the show, teenagers who fuck up really badly because they are young and stupid. Like, what Isak did is in my opinion just as bad. Isak was being seriously manipulative just to fuck over his friends out of jealousy but everyone forgives him because you understand its just a teenager making some really dumb mistakes but then learning and growing from it. Why not give the same charitability to William? In my opinion it's just because he looks like a stereotypical "bad guy" which might be the show's mistake because your brain goes into this mode of automatically assuming he must be a bad guy.

Olha77

seriously?!or are you watching the season for the 1. time with this guys?

Becca

no, I've watched the show before.

sean carter

completely agree with this

Bradam Reacts

Ultimately, I don't feel it's a mistake! I honestly think meeting him as "the bad guy" and giving him a really abrasive moment against one of your main characters starts his character arc right where it needs to. He's been shown to us as this person that treats women poorly, and thinks he's above it all- which I think is really smart if you're going to give us a whole season around his redemption and his relationship with one of the shows favorite characters! (remember we've only seen 3 episodes 😭 so we only know so much) - My theory is that if the season goes the direction I think it will, it's SO brilliant to pair him up with Noora's character. She's immediately loveable, very smart and emotionally intelligent, sweet and caring; the dichotomy between her character and what we know of William's will help push his character arc as we learn more about him and he becomes more of a rounded out character. Because we get to see what Noora maybe learns to see in him. (Just a guess). Very excited about what we get to know about him and his character. (we definitely feel a bit more for him in the 3rd episode)

Anne27x

I do think the difference in reaction of the general public towards Williams actions and Isak’s actions is interesting. I think it definitely has to do with their introduction in the show. Isak gets introduced as a sweet guy who is Jonas and Eva’s friend and William gets introduced as an antagonist. But ultimately Isak did betray Eva, which means that both Isak and William did shitty things towards female characters of this show. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong but it does seem like people forgive Isak quite easily compared to William. That’s just an observation though!

jin

I'm late to this but yalls reaction to William is so funny😭😭 the opinions on him are so valid and right

K

Tbh, i think Will was right about being direct on rejecting Vilde harshly though, like if Wil played it nice, she wouldn't have understood it, and would still have kept on expecting things from him.. like even when he was rude to her, she still kept on liking him, so there could've been a better way, but i feel like Wil had a point there.

Dionne Lakey

William's manipulation is next level, and it worked on most of the fandom. He takes no responsibility for any of his actions concerning Vilde and never thinks he's done wrong. Never respecting Noora enough to take no for an answer. Instead being predatory in his pursuit of her. Noora deserves so much better.

Dionne Lakey

Agree with this and I've watched this show hundreds of times.

Dionne Lakey

William deciding it's OK to say something incredibly mean to a person who you assume already has low self-esteem is such punching down behaviour that I can't get over it. And how he seems proud of his insight into Vilde. And he still slept with this girl who he didn't like and he knew had low self-esteem and then basically told her to f off afterwards. I mean, people grow as teenagers and all that, but it isn't another girl's job to help you see the light and change. This totally plays into the toxic trope that women like bad boys and want to fix them. Giving women the emotional labour of making men better people. Keep all teenage girls safe from these type of boys please!

M

But Vilde also used William. She is very clear about wanting to sleep with him for his social status. This whole portrayal of William taking advantage of Vilde takes away any agency Vilde had in that situation. Obviously what he said to her was fucked up, but I don't think the way he treated her after they slept together is terrible up until that point, tbh. She was clear that she wanted to sleep with him to get her first time out of the way and to increase their social status, he was clear he didn't want more, but apparently treated her well enough while they had sex that she came away from it liking him more. Sure, he knows she's interested, but how interested is she really in him, not his social status? Not very, from what he probably knows.

Lin

nonsense argument from William. obviously it's never one comment, it's always an accumulation of a lot of things, but do you want to be someone who contributes to that by intentionally being unnecessarily hurtful? potentially being the tipping point for someone even?

abby

The dating culture in Norway is very different from the US! It would have been very strange if William had taken her to a dinner and a show on their first and probably last date:)

abby

But Vilde straight out using William like a tool to lose her virginity is juuust fine? The double standsrds are through the roof here.

JessieC

ugh there are so many William apologists acting like there's nothing in between "I want to date you" and "You're disgusting and nobody could love you" he could have just said to Vilde "there's nothing wrong with you, but I'm not interested and don;t ever want to date you." then it would have been entirely on her if she kept on thinking there was something. I did NOT embrace the William/Noora love story. I only enjoyed it as an adult who knows that unhealthy relationship stories exist and are pretty common and it's realistic-- I will never understand the people who think this was some heartwarming ideal love story. Give William his redemption arc-- fine-- do it far from me, he was horrible and never honestly apologized and made it right.

JessieC

yeah i found the season realistic, but i was an adult watching it, and it made me uncomfortable seeing so many young girls read the season as romantic

JessieC

for heaven's sake!!!! there was something in between "I want to date you" and "you're worthless " for instance "you're perfectly fine but I have zero interest in dating you, ever." then it would have been totally on Vilde for still being into him. he blatantly and admittedly took advantage of her emotional issues and was openly abusive then came back and flirted with her again as an "apology." no.

JessieC

yes, as an adult watching this season I was able to think of him as a problematic young man and his relationship with Noora as some toxic red flag realistic storytelling-- my issue came from watching young women watch it and romanticize it. the big lesson for the season (with William anyway) ended up being "you can change him" and yikes-- can we NOT be spreading that message to young women please??? I would have much more appreciated them examining how toxic their relationship was, breaking them up, letting William develop and better himself on his own then come back and maybe later had them reconnect. There was another version of their story (I can not remember which remake it was), that much better talked about this season's toxicity * semi-spoiler I guess because it has some minimal plot information, but it's mostly my interpretation of it more than anything... so read on at your own risk I felt like that remake showed that the Noora character was a bit of a control freak, she kind of enjoyed being around messy people because it made her feel like she had her sh*t together and once her version of William was "fixed" she was like "um-- nah... this isn't it" and she broke it off with him and IMMEDIATELY met someone else it was suggested she was going to get involved with the same night. I REALLY wnjoyed that interpretation of her character and of the situation and I felt like it was a healthier examination for young people to see than this romanticized "the horrible abusive man is nice to ME, so he's not that bad" message.

JessieC

I like the interpretation of Noora as the girl with a history who becomes a control freak in response to trauma and enjoys surrounding herself with messy people she can fix because it makes her feel like she has her sh*t together. They did that interpretation in one remake and I LOVED it. edit: I think it was the German version that I liked her development

JessieC

but he never FIXES IT! He's just nice to HER so he's suddenly a "nice guy"

wren

the birthday boy text is crazyyy!!!
