Love this episode. I think making a plot line of a girl having to travel to get an abortion is a much better way of making the show feel current and Gen Z than whatever they were trying to do in the first episode, which ironically felt like a very boomer take on #metoo.

OK, when i saw the first episode with you guys I was underwhelmed. I didn't give it a chance. It has gotten better and Annabelle is awesome.,however , with all the reactions u have made with many good, very good shows and this my least favorite. Overcompensating ....insane, fun.Fellow Travelers beyond magnificent. Heartstopper is in its own category. It has done so much fo so many people of all ages.

“All these sentences would send an old person into psychosis.” Ummm, as someone who chronologically qualifies to order Denny’s senior specials I feel as if I should be clutching my metaphorical pearls. Of course I’m not. Just as I’m not ordering a Denny’s senior special since it would require actually frequenting a Denny’s. Which, for the record, I haven’t since we were in Tokyo where one happened to be the closest eatery to our friend’s apartment. Since we couldn’t manage to walk one step further due to massive hangovers every morning (Shinjuku gay bars are fun especially when filled with scores of American sailors), it became our default breakfast spot. For the record, the Japanese don’t really understand American breakfasts. So the next time you find yourself hungover in Tokyo, you might want to avoid sitting next to a booth filled with construction workers breaking fast with spaghetti and beer. Agree there’s not much else to say about the episode beyond it’s brilliantly funny. I am curious though, what’s the devilishly complex looking device that makes the occasional background appearance on the counter over Bradley’s left shoulder?

Trust, the Anton Baker prophecy will be fulfilled 🙂‍↕️ A bit worried about our good sis Issa though… she does kinda give "I want two boyfriends so I can dress them like twins" energy tho so maybe it's actually a win for her 😭 Am I the only one actually starting to prefer Adults over Overcompensating? 🫣 While Overcompensating did get some good laughs out of me, I was bothered by how nearly every female character felt like a stereotype straight out of an early 2000s bro comedy à la American Pie (the popular mean girls, the "one of the bros" cool girl… yawwwn). I felt that sometimes they failed at parodying tropes and just ended up replicating them instead. Adults has been much more successful at making me feel attached to the gang. I'm enjoying how everybody is sort of a wild card, like they're all equally chaotic and flawed in their own way and you somehow still want the best for them no matter how disastrous they behave.
