also so so glad you guys watched s1 and s2, i like s3 but i feel like people who refuse to watch s1/2 first don’t really understand what the show is about. and the amount of misogynistic takes i’ve seen from people who only watched s3 because they “don’t care about the girls’ storylines” is BAFFLING

Just a really neat little thing about the final words on the screen in this episode: "skam deg" literally translates to "be ashamed", but when you add the heart in the middle it completely changes the meaning! <3

loved your reaction to that isak reveal and to the rest of the season as well. season 2 isnt one i typically rewatch even though i love noora. it's a little too long and over drawn at times but i loved rewatching it for the first time with you all. obviously you are both aware of the excitement for season 3 and i cant deny im glad we're finally there lol.

I feel so differently about every season of skam, but this season in particular is like a learning experience every time. I gain appreciation for a different aspect every rewatch. I think this time, I have a lot more empathy and grace for William, and I loved getting to revel in the gem that is the cabin episode with you guys. Vilde's arc really takes root in that episode since her and Noora are isolated, and the payoff is phenomenal, but so many people hate it. I'm just glad you guys truly love skam. I don't want to overhype season 3, but 3 and 4 are personal ones, so I'll just say I'm really excited!

Oh gosh I couldn't agree more. Season 2 is my personal favorite but I love them all. I honestly find it disrespectful when people say 'only watch S3 or S3+4' and that S1+2 are not worth it. That's an awful take in my opinion and we wouldn't have the third season without the first 2. Yes, Isak + Jonas only had small parts in S2 but they had a bigger part in S1 and we got to know them a little. It's ok if you don't like S1 and/or S2 but refusing to watch them is just yikes. It enriches the whole viewing experience. And you know what I find really stupid?! People who watch only S3 or S3+4 and then watch S1+2. That doesn't make sense at all.

While I don't agree with watching only some of the seasons, I (and many others!) only got into the show during season 3, so we watched season 3+4 while they happened and THEN went back for S1+2. Idk, it makes sense to me haha As someone who started on season 3, I will say that I felt like I fully understood the guys despite not having seen S1, any of the references to prev seasons just felt like easter eggs, really. I guess it just shows how good the writing is, that I managed to get so into the story without having all the background.

I have been so patiently waiting to see your reaction to season 3, but I am really really glad you watched seasons 1 & 2. I really think that knowing the characters will help frame season 3. But get ready. Season 3 is sooo good and in a very different way.

I love Noora and William as a couple and I like them both and maybe I am biased because Noora is my favourite but Noora is sometimes so out of William's league😂💗 I love them together tho

When you guy started this season, I think I commented that I hated William and this rewatch has changed my mind a lot! tbf, i watched this as a teenager as it was coming out and i LOVED noora and didn't want her to be in a relationship, so the whole season was kinda soured because of it. have definitely changed my tune on him a little now, even though its still not my fave season.

i will say, they are sooooo good at building the tension in this show. its kinda predictable but even the moments you can see coming from a mile away are exciting! the isak/jonas belt thing is such a cute little twist and it feels like a cheeky wink to the viewers

Okay yes the hype for season 3 is real and to many it's the main dish, but please watch season 4 too after. I'm gonna be crushed if you skip it. It is just as good as the other 3!

I can't believe we're halfway through SKAM!!! It's been so much fun watching you guys get attached to our girl squad ❤️😭 After watching Young Royals with you, I had a feeling you'd appreciate season 1 and 2 of Skam and I'm glad I was right! Season 3 is a masterpiece in its own right but it's definitely gonna hit differently now that you've been there for the whole journey. While Isak's appearance has been fairly minimal so far, I do think we've gotten some key moments for his character. I also love how the show throws in these little easter eggs for its dedicated viewers like the random appearance from Kasper or the hints with the basement dweller and the belt. It's been great to see you guys be just as invested as us and pick up on all these little things :) I'm so glad you've taken the time to really go in depth with the episodes. I watched quite a few reactions to this show back in the day but nobody has done it quite like this!

Sigh. They didn’t abandon Nikolai in the middle of a remote, frozen Norwegian forest. Alas. Another season ending with a shock🌈 about Isak. I remember Adam reasoned it out almost immediately last episode! So glad you 2 picked up on the belt. I know some people don’t register the belt when Noora throws it to Eskild. And Isak & Jonas do clean up nice, with their spiffy haircuts. Didn’t you enjoy the split second we might think that it’s Jonas living in the basement & then Julie Andem pulls the rug out from underneath us? Very clever writing. Did you notice in the very final frame of the episode — as Isak is flirting with the pretty girl😱 — he looks directly at us through the camera with the smirk on his face? If not, go back & look. You will see it. When you watch the trailer for Season 3, be sure to listen too.

You two pick up on the small details, love that. The sole pacing of William and Noora in the bed is a way to tell us they stay in bed for a looong time. Skam is also good at using songs to highlight what’s about to happen or enhance things. The song you danced to when William was going to the trial is norwegian and they sing «Si ingenting»/«Say nothing». I love how you immediately recognized Akon’s song 😂 we all knew what was next haha. Kasper and Chris was too funny. If Chris got her own season it would be hilarious 🍭

I have really been enjoying your reactions to s1+2, and I cannot wait for the next two! As someone who was absolutely obsessed with SKAM for years and years, and who has watched SO many reactions to it, my biggest compliment to you is this: I trust you with these characters and their stories. You pick up on hints and subtext, you try to understand people's actions and motivations, you get the point of the show! While this show was coming out, these characters were honestly like real people to us viewers. I followed them on Instagram where they would randomly post, during school days I caught myself wondering what subjects they were doing, and if we would get to see it (because clips were dropped in real time, and randomly), if someone in the show had an appointment I set aside time in my day at that time so I could watch as it happened. After some of the most difficult clips dropped I went to bed with a tummy ache because I was so worried about the main character. Ten years later I still find myself wondering what these people are up to right now, I know they aren't real but I also still follow them on insta because I don't want to let go. Point is, SKAM is special, the characters are like my friends, and I trust you guys with them <3

it's tricky because i do think season 3 is the shortest season but it's also perfectly paced and very economical, which id rather for a good story. not one minute wasted and very intentional and confident in its every move.

If anyone wants to watch all of the remakes, even If they're just interested in season 3, it makes sense to watch the entire OG show to understand most of the character story lines.
