Bel Pop

YESSSSSSSSSSSS finally 🙇🏻‍♀️

Eleonora

Woohooo🤸‍♂️ One thing I low key love about this episode is how offended Mahdi is at the idea of people thinking he’s homophobic, just good characters all around! I’m so excited for the next two episodes🫣

AM

Adam gently chastising Bradley every time he goes a little too far is my favorite thing 😂

Elvira

nooo you looked away when he was opening the locker! Key moment!! Also, I'm always so excited for your reactions, can't wait for the rest:)

Bel Pop

Magnus is literally the meme “he a little confused but he’s got the spirit” 😆

Stefan

»Either way, Isak just got mind blowing head« hahaha 🫶🏻🙏🏻

inka

love this episode, the straight friends who are confused but still supportive always gets me. also isak finally getting to be more himself again means him getting SASSY as hell lmao

Inna Kajaste

I think it was really good that a character like Magnus was included who's very supportive but also so, so obtuse. 😂 I think in general there's a bit of a theme of "stupid questions can also be valuable" in this show, if you think back to Vilde asking if Eva would borrow her contraceptive pills to her etc, which allowed the show to have a bit of a convo about safe sex etc.

Cattis

OBSESSED with the on screen chemistry this season. It’s actually absurd the way it flares up with every rewatch (I’ll admit this isn’t my first). I’m once again down with a severe case of Evak.

Sasha Mars

tbh you might be right about the "European" way of coming out, because most of my friends' coming out has been with “I have a crush on this girl” or “I hooked up with this girl"

CC

Ah can’t believe we’re already here in the season, I keep forgetting how fast it goes by! What’s also crazy to think is Jonas was able to give such good relationship/texting advice, because that’s what must have happened with him and Eva last year, right? He was kind of in Even’s position himself, dating Ingrid and seeing Eva “on the side”, and he grew SO much since season 1 that he can pass some wisdom on now. Thank you for always keeping Noora’s mirror quote in mind. I truly think that’s the thesis statement of this show. So so so excited for the next 3 episodes! (Also, Isak’s school locker opened so smoothly now 🥺😭 no force needed.)

"BRADLEY!" I'm crying

lauren ☆

the scene with the boys when Even shows up and them helping Isak out... one of my fave in the whole series!!!

Michael

HAHA - was waiting for your response at the end when Evan showed up. In some ways it's a pity that Adam sussed it out that Even was going to turn up in person, otherwise it would have been an amazing surprise, but maybe it was a bit obvious what was going to happen. Nevertheless, loved your reactions and the chaos with Isak trying to get everybody out as quickly as possible - one of the funniest scenes in the whole show I think.

Melina W

i really like how they portray different types of supportive people around him! jonas, who is really cool with it all and very proactively supportive, mahdi who is chill but less active, magnus who doesn't really know anything but is not trying to hurt anyone, eskild as the more experienced gay guru and even vilde who's maybe overly enthusiastic but also just wants to support him. as you come out, different people will have different reactions, but what's important imo is that it comes from a place of love and caring! and i think it's important for a show to portray many versions of reactions one might encounter to avoid misunderstandings or hurt feelings because expectations weren't met!

Inés :))

22:40 one of the multiple songs they’ve used from the Romeo & Juliet movie soundtrack 😭

Saskia 👑

Who could have resist Evan in that Moment at the door ????

PJ

Hahaha ..24:22 “BRADley!” .. a Donald Duck interpretation of a bj wasn’t on my bingo card for today’s skam reaction, but I loved it 😂 .. as always 10/10 reactions 🥳

Marie Emelia

I think the scene in the kitchen with his friends is so amazing and feels so real. Because I think straight guys can recognize themselves in a character like Magnus and thats also important, hopefully they can learn something to. This show is also so relatable and important even today. I work at a youth centre and meet teenagers every day, and a lot of the boys still say "fag" (or rather the swedish word) to each other when they want to be mean or think someone is weird. So even if Sweden have been in the forefront when it comes to lgbtq-rights we still have to work to keep our rights, because there is some very cold winds blowing from rightwing people.

Heidi D

I know, I love how his locker opens up so smoothly after he comes out to his friends!

Elvira

me too! So good!

@baydreamer

Bradley, you are not right!! 😂🤣😂

@baydreamer

I adore Magnus. And Eskild. ❤️

Samuel B

I am currently taking applications for a friend like Jonas…

Henrik

I love how uncertain Isak gets when texting Even, even though he's shown himself to have quite a lot of game with the girls. But this time it's for real, it's not a game. And I love how invested his friends are, they're all anxiously waiting for Even to respond to his text, and are as disappointed as Isak is when he doesn't call or reply. So they launch into this funny story about some idiot at school to distract Isak, which is exactly how teenage boys would deal with this problem. I love how true to life this show is!

Henrik

I also love how the show didn't flinch because it's showing intimacy between two teenage boys. Isak and Even are getting the exact same treatment as Jonas and Eva, and Noora and William before them. They're a couple, they're making out, this is simply what that looks like. It's the exact same level of explicitness and tastefulness. And that in itself was kinda groundbreaking back in 2016.

Randy Parker

The series is all about them growing up. None more than Isak.

Beck Huston

Love this show. Just a comment on seeing your video. It is really difficult to read the English text translations. Maybe you could read them our loud.

Randy Parker

Adam is definitely more prudish than Brad.

scottyG

Yes, that would be really helpful. I have to pause and screen-zoom to read them.

Peaches

Bradley with that impression and Adam saying "Bradley!!" killed me 😂😂😂😭😭😭

Lindsay

hahahaha the ending "BRADLEYY!" 😂 I AM SCREAMINNGG

Lily Ramco

Can't wait for next ep

Louise Mohlin

You can pause the video, that's what I do!

Andrew S

The comments about that shit spreading around is so true, I came out to a friend in high school and three days later I was getting texts and messages from EVERYONE asking if it was true.

JustinThyme

Your reaction had me rolling! BRAD-ly! Either way Isaak just hit mind blowing head. 😂😂😂😂😂 lived this episode and your reaction!

rose

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, but a fun trivia fact is that the actor who plays Isak (Tarjei) and the actor who plays Magnus (David) are good friends in real life. They actually knew each other before filming for this show even began! They both went to the same school and were in the same friend group.

Flo

I recently came out as bi to my religious parents and when I was asking my friend if she had any advice (because she’s gone through it too) she specifically said to not use the word bisexual because the word sex and anything remotely associated with it is so taboo in Christianity so there’s a risk they’ll just focus on that part and miss the whole point of what you’re saying. It’s something I wouldn’t have thought about myself because using the word sexuality is very natural to me (and it’s been over 10 years since I was active in church. My parents still don’t know I’ve fully left the faith) but I do think that is very sound advice! I ended up saying something along the lines of “I’m attracted to both men and women”. My parents took it very well and I’m very proud of them for starting to unlearn the things they’ve been fed since childhood. I’ve had to do the same so I know from experience that it’s easier said than done.

Flo

My motto is that: there are no stupid questions as long as they’re asked with kindness. I’m visually impaired and I sometimes give lectures to students about what it’s like living with disabilities. I once had a girl (probably around 12 years old) come up to me after a lecture and asked how I know that my period has started. I could tell she was genuinely curious by her way of asking and the fact that she asked once everyone else was gone, so of course I gave her the answer! It’s so important to encourage people to ask questions even if they think the question is stupid because spreading knowledge is how we counteract prejudice.

CG

We are at the place where the foot hits the gas pedal (and the clues start to make sense)

Patrick

LOL: Bradley: offering some pantomime & sound effects. Adam: “BRADley😱!” You guys are so right that the note on Noora’s wall is the lesson of the entire show. And yeah, it definitely likes the “upper-cut, right hook, left hook” approach. We see a few ways that the real, out (getting there) Isak is different from the I’m-straight-façade Isak. His voice is trembling in the kitchen, asking the boys “What do I reply?” to Even’s text. He just doesn’t know what to do. Compare that to how smooth he was, when he turned on the charm with Emma in ep3 to get her to forgive him for lying about not coming to her party. And, of course, Isak treats that last . . . um . . . moment😈 . . . as um . . . unobjectionable — versus how uninterested he was with Emma in the restroom in ep1.

Trine

They even attended the same school were SKAM was filmed.,. Hartvig Nissen

Sophie Sjösten

I love Magnus. He's just so clueless and awkward 😂 I love that you didn't hate on him for some of the things he said in this episode, because it's clear there is no ill intent behind it, even if it's not said in very good ways.

Stefan

Bradley: »Because *I* know not to let my guard down!« Mhmmm. Little does he know 🤯

Tonie W

Not y’all got me going back to listen to Nate Dogg lol

Vanessa

No its fine, you can let ur guard down 🤭

Elise

I'll just mention this in case someone hasn't but the timespan of each season is half a school year. Like how Evas season starts at summer and ends at the christmas tree party and nooras start in the winter and ends in summer. So since we are nearing the end of this season it's probably been a few months

skmj

Pls react to BOOTS on Netflix.

Ryan

Ughhh such a good episode

Louise Mohlin

Jonas quietly encouraging Isak to come out to the other two is so wholesome

Bradam Reacts

I'm so sorry you had that experience, I wish people would honor that coming out should only happen on your terms ❤️

nora

You guys seriously have no idea how iconic Skam was...!!🥹 we literally lived for this show

Lauren Renner

crazy how fast i caught up… love the commentary! you are both so well spoken and insightful. this takes me back to scrolling through tumblr for the google drive links to the translated clips 🙂‍↕️.

Alice Snälls

I've watched skam waaay too many times (honestly at least twenty) but I have NEVER noticed the locker thing. It was just so beautiful to see him open his locker without any struggle after coming out to his friends

Breana Billie

yall talking through the locker scene broke me, it finally opening easily is such a great moment 🙏

Sid

"It belongs in a museum". It sort of is: Julie Andem's original script for this season is held by the Norwegian National Library....

JessieC

Isak is so freaking brave-- once he decides to take the risk he's all in. He just had to know it was worth the risk.

JessieC

I can't believe you guys missed him finally easily opening his locker, lol

JessieC

i'm holding out on picking apart the timeline for this season and what it means about when Even noticed Isak and started plotting. Season 3 started the very beginning of October.

wren

not Jonas being the straight ally we fucking needed. he’s completely won me over. what a king
