We made it😭💜 I saw a tiktok the other day and was reminded of a tumblr thread about Isak’s pillow and I thought you’d enjoy it🤣 The blue pillow is clearly the best pillow as Isak starts out with this one always on top. First time Even stays over, Isak gvies him the blue pillow. The few days after, he leaves the pillow untouched because it smells of Even. After he sees him with Sonja, he then starts sleeping on the blue one again. And in the beginning here, we see Even has his blue pillow privileges back🥹

Henrik

Throughout the entire season, the big mystery is what is up with that Even guy? Is he just stringing Isak along? What does he want, really? And then we get this reveal. "I saw you the first day of school". Our poor boy has been smitten since the semester started, and Isak had no clue at all! ♥

Sam ! !

I would love to see you guys react to other versions! So sad that this is ending soon 💔

inka

vilde and magnus matched each other's freak so well

inka

THANK YOU for sharing your experience with us! watching this season and show that really touched and affected me when i was a teenager with you has been so so lovely, i found new things about the story AGAIN and the lessons are so relevant to my life right now as well. this show is so beautiful and the fact that it's so universal and timeless is incredible!! can't wait to continue to season 4 with you <3

Peaches

I don't know if you guys noticed but Isak had no problem opening his locker this episode 😊 His struggled with his identity have been resolved along with his locker. Skam continues to be so special to me in the way that the writers make the characters feel so real but also in the way the actors do. The way Tarjei played Isak was amazing to experience, and I really love how a lot of their conversations really feel like conversations teenagers would have. Thank you so much for reacting to this show.

Sid

What a journey Isak has made from the jerk we met in the bathtub in e1, whose default reaction to awkward situations was to lie - to himself and to other; that's growth!

Cathrin Johansson

Loved rewatching Skam through your eyes! Thankyou ❤️ Looking forward to see another episode of Interview with the Vampire, and also Skam season 4. ❤️❤️

Inna Kajaste

I think it's such a healthy thing of growth too that Isak went from the rose-tinted glasses, calling Even the man of his dreams to understanding that Even has flaws and the playing field overall evened out between them when Isak took him off the pedestal.

eyla.

Can’t believe we’re on the last season now, loved watching S1,2&3 with you guys 😭

Eliza

In the manuscript there is a prologue. Even sees Isak angry, yelling on the phone to his older sister on the first day. It intrigued Even, who was about to quit school on the first day, to stay in school.

Eva Graakjær Larsen

It was hard letting go of Noora after the second season, but much much harder letting go of Evak after season 3🥹 You kind of go through a mourning period 😅

Rachael

❤️❤️❤️❤️ what a journey

The hidden mental health storyline in this season is so reminiscent of the one in Heartstopper. The hints in these 10 episodes of what Even is going through are so subtle. The same way that Charlie's are so subtle through the first two seasons of Heartstopper. SKAM's story is a more intense ride with Isak coming to a realisation of good and bad days quicker. In Heartstopper we see Charlie relapsing pretty badly after he gets back from the hospital and the couple dealing with their good and bad days together. Both couples mature as people and as a relationship because of this stress put on it. I love this season's minute by minute message and the communication level that they get to. In this episode Even's appreciation for the fact that Isak gets him and has realistic expectations of him is so heartwarming to see. He does it with his eyes. They get really warm and affectionate. He doesn't have to use his words but you can tell that he's so relieved to be understood.

Dionne Lakey

I really love that the season ended with Isak being vulnerable and honest with Eva, who was so close with Isak in season one. She shared all her vulnerabilities with him so him doing that here with her here feels earned.

Dionne Lakey

Yes to this! It's so mature.

CG

When I was much younger and finally shared my battles with depression with my very imperfect mother, she told me to take it day by day; and if that didn't work... You get the picture. She passed a few years ago, so this episode hit hard when I first saw it. Ep 9 had already felt close to the bone, and then the whole minute by minute reminder...

Patrick

Alas, the season of excessive nasal sex🤪 has ended. It is sad to see Season 3 end, but this is such a great dénouement. Happy endings abound. And we see how baby Isak has grown up so much, watching out for Even (he’s not the little-spoon🥄 anymore), not leaving Even the way his dad left his mom, finally making a heartfelt apology to Eva (after not wanting earlier to tell Even what he’d gotten away with by lying🐍 in the past), having a more grounded view of relationships (whether or not Even will end up being the man of his dreams/life) & talking about not wanting to live a “fake” life anymore — in a call-back to Eskild’s Pride speech about the courage🌈 to “rather die than be something they’re not.” And oh gosh, it made me feel all warm & squishy😍 when Even revealed with “I was there to meet you” & “I saw you the first day of school” that he’d been thirsting after Isak from first sight too. Remember the pool scene in ep04 when Even commented on how Isak’s hair *usually looks taken-care-of (because he’d been watching it)? And, to Magnus, he champions desperate pick-up action (like, say, taking all the papers towels at the bathroom sink in ep01). So, this is just for fun: Remember the trailer for Season 3, with Isak just sitting there in a towel in the locker room? Tarjei has had an acting career post-Skam, including playing a character in the musical “Grease.” And behold, he sings a solo, in a towel, in a locker room. He exhibits better singing talents (in Norwegian) than displayed when rapping at Even’s house or stumbling over the lyrics to “I’m Yours” at the cabin in s01. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eONYN-wQZtM

CG

One of the most interesting things about this season was that Isak was NOT a very likable character for much of the show (from Season 1). He seemed the most self-centered and performative. The irony is that he became more selfless through a selfish initiation into this relationship and its challenges, which eventually made him so much more likable AND so much more self-actualized. What a great message for young teens: being true to yourself while also opening yourself to the needs of others is key to a strong sense of self.

CC

Love love love! I can’t count how many times I’ve seen this since finding it early 2017, but I saw it through a whole new light watching it along with you guys. Thank you for sharing this with us! Excited for bloopers next time! <3

DS

Watch 'the boy who could not hold his breath under water'..Its isak and even home life video short of like 2 min available on youtube, when you watch bloopers of this season and other shorts

Nicole

I love this season so much

inka

i think this could be considered a spoiler since the video is mentioned on season 4! i think it’s better to watch it after finishing the show

Heidi D

It’s just a stellar season. Soooo good! Don’t forget to watch the teaser for season 4! Then you can find out who it’s about too! Can’t wait! And don’t worry, we will see more Evak in the next season too.

Maria

WE DID IT!!🩷And I definitely agree with what you guys said about how this show is so very different from other shows about the high school experience, namely Euphoria. One of the reasons I personally (and I know many others) fell in love with the show was because of how low-key the format felt; the semi-daily updates that were uploaded online on a blog-site, combined with the fact that there was no grandeur – the Hollywoodization was basically non-existing, which made the show feel so down to earth and instantly relatable. Not to mention the fact that the actors were pretty much the same age as their characters, and not 35-year old models as many shows tend to cast...🙃 Also, SKAM isn't the first show from Norway to use the format of uploading shorter snippets and posts to a blog-site! Just to mention a couple, M.I.A. and Jenter (translated "Girls") were quite popular, though they were targeted more so towards girls in their tweens and early teens. It's been a while since I watched these, but I do remember one of the characters from M.I.A. having an arc where she realizes she's in love with one of her girl friends, and coming to terms with liking girls. As someone who realized i liked girls around the same time, this show also has a special place for me :')

Randy Parker

You kept trying to protect Isak by calling him a baby, and he was absolutely a child at the beginning of the season and at the end he's almost fully an adult.

Venla

I watched the show live back then when it ended just before Christmas holidays and I still rewatch eps 9 and 10 right before Christmas to first get emotional and then into the cozy holiday spirit. :)

CC

Isn’t that for after the s4 finale?

Edebro

cryin. As much as i wholly support the hype you guys got for season 3, you absolutley should keep your expectations high going into season 4. To me, the lovely wrapped up tied off loose ends feeling that this episode gives, is just elevated all through the next season. the actual finale of this show is so well done and fun. I hope one day you guys can rewatch this show just on your own time without worrying about having to analyze and talk and stuff, cause all my best watch-throughs have been when im alone and in bed and need a mental reset. thanks for being so lovely and thoughtful about this season ❤️

Edebro

ALSO the rewatch of this season is even better than the first time around, specifically with having the ability to watch Even's behaviours and understand the layers that Isak doesn't get at the time. He's kind of a confusing character the first time around, but the more you understand watching it back, the more emphasis you can find in the acting and writing. He's so well acted once you understand the depth the actor was working with.

Eleonora

I personally haven’t watched any of the Skam multiverses so if you guys are reacting to those it would be so much fun to experience them for the first time along with you!

Dan

I'm glad that you ended up loving this season so much! If you want to experience this as it happens, the most recent remake is coming out soon(ish?) with their season 3! I don't think we have a date yet, but we did get a teaser about it. Its called SRAM, and its a Croatian version. Definitely recommend, its such a good watch

kinsley

Please react to Sram S3 when it comes out🙏🏻🙏🏻

j-l

we talk a lot about how great of an actor tarjei is (and rightfully so) but i just wanna take a moment to appreciate henrik holm. i always felt sooo seen by evens character, i felt so connected to him from the first watch and i just appreciate the portrayal of bipolar disorder from henrik so much. and shoutout to the writers as well of course. its crazy cause when i first watched this in 2016 i had been diagnosed with depression for many years but i felt like i related to even beyond his depressive episodes, and then in 2021 i actually got diagnosed with bipolar disorder😭 turns out i had been misdiagnosed with ''just'' depression that whole time. i think that tells you how well written even is and how well they portrayed bipolar disorder in this show, and that means so much to me.

j-l

this season is even better on rewatch for many reasons but i think it really makes you appreciate even as a character more, you understand why he acts the way he does and see the little nuances in henriks performance.

CG

I was coming here to write the same thing. Tarjei has such depth, AND Henrik is so compelling ( you totally get why Isak is obsessed), while also making you feel uneasy from time to time (which is a hard balance to strike). THEN he plays the soulful and depressed side with such nuance and believability.

Sid

Even: "You know what, Magnus, you should just be more yourself; take desperate to a new level!" (Just like I did with paper towels in the school bathroom to get Isak's attention (which I'd been trying to do for six weeks since the first day of school).)

Isak

The "minute by minute thing", as I am sure someone else has already pointed out, refers to this thing that happened in Norway a while back, where the national television (NRK) would show boats and trains on their journeys minute by minute in essentially a livestream. It would go on for DAYS or WEEKS. It would be like a boats full journey up the coast of Norway, and it would stop along the way and celebrities would hop onboard and do like a quick interview or something, but for most of the time, you could just watch the boat work its way up the coast of Norway -- minute by minute. There is a Norwegian (and Danish) Wiki page about the concept. (Cultural context is fun!)

Bradam Reacts

Henrik's confidence just pours through that character, which reads so well as someone who's working with bipolar and trying to keep his struggles behind him around other people. So many people mask issues using confidence so it's such a beautiful portrayal of that!!

Enrico

Yes don't worry! Isak and Even will be appearing in season four in key roles, developing the main character's storyline. And the series finale is simply wonderful, surprising, and innovative.

Marie Emelia

Great reaction guys!! I can understund the feeling that it's the end, but you have so much to looking forward to in season 4. It's my favourite after season 3 and the girls will be back 🥰

Daniel!

I've absolutely adored watching this season again with you all. SKAM will forever be my favourite TV show and the coming-of-age themes really helped shape my adolescence. Thank you both for taking such care in discussing it and giving such thorough analyses! We really appreciate you, and I'm over the moon you enjoyed the show! Looking forward to S4 so very much, gonna be sticking around to see it all unfold. Lots of love! x

Lindsay

Yes!!! I think so much of what makes this show special is the realism. They let the actors say lines how THEY would say them, improvised scenes, and dialogue of characters talking over one another, using practical screens on phones/laptops, the way the show is shot..every single detail goes into making it feel as real as possible and it pulls you right in. Immediately you believe these characters are real because it feels so real! And it makes the messages delivered through the show that much more powerful and impactful. I've never ever felt for a show like I do this one, for this particular reason. Cannot WAIT for S4 reaction! It's my next favorite season after S3!!! You have not seen the last of Evak, I promise you :)

rose

Can't believe it's over!! I have loved watching this season with you guys! Super excited to see the season 3 bloopers and season 4 :)

Samuel B

AHHHHHH!! love love love love. I don’t think I have stopped smiling this entire episode! I love this season not just cause it had a queer storyline and main character, but how this ended. I love the girls, but I don’t like any of the characters had a full circle, arc, self reflection and awareness moment like this. Loved that it wasn’t just about Isak and Even coming together, but Isak coming into his own, find acceptance, finding tolerance with mental health issues with people around him, owning up to things sincerely, and really realizing that life isn’t just about a partner but how vital it is to have people around you and how many friends and people who care about him (may the queer gods bring me friends like Jonas, Sana, Eskild, and even Magnus 😂) . Absolutely loved this season. And a final little plug, but as someone who has battle with mental health issues for most of my life, minute by minute. Minute by minute. Minute. By. Minute. For anyone that needs that reminder they gave us, take it minute by minute and live in the now! Life can give us a lot of shit and it seems impossible. But stop and take that minute and breathe and find that love around you! Loved this season with you all. Much much love everyone 🫶

JustinThyme

I’ve only seen this season once before a long time ago and it might have only been clips and I hadn’t seen the previous seasons. That meant I didn’t really remember how it ended. Now, watching the entire series to this point, with your great commentary and everyone’s wonderful posts, I truly understand his wonderful and special this show is! The ending was so emotional for me and seeing how much Isaak has grown, accepted himself and matured is amazing. So many good scenes in this episode and I’ve truly come to really like this whole set of characters. Really looking to find out who season 4 is about and see the journey of this group continue!

Dalig

A tip when you watch the trailer for season 4 is to actually watch it both in its original form and in reverse, it will give a lot of context about the theme of the season. :) There is some clip on youtube somewhere with both versions. Think it is called SKAM TRAILER SEASON 4 ORIGINAL VS REVERSED.

Sid

...and, as always, the song lyrics are important!

Surely Ashley

Pls consider watching Skam France S3. It's the best alternate version and most people who react to the original Skam Norway check out Skam France Season 3- it's well done and both actors are beautiful.

Surely Ashley

React to Skam season 3 bloopers too

Monica Emeline

I love skam france and WTFock too, those are my fave remakes but the original is just a classic!

CG

Don't remember if you two ever watched Looking on HBO. From this same time frame. More adult but to me it felt deep

CG

I agree the actors are beautiful, and to me SKAM France felt too cinematic (and the actors felt a bit too old). Still. I know a lot of folks loved it.

Kath Media

Me too! However I cried the most in WTFock. Ate alot of chocolate and popcorn while going through boxes of tissues.

Monica Emeline

I like that it's the most different, some of the other versions are exactly the same so I really liked they made some changes and I LOVED Sander

Mo

So excited for season 4! My favorite season next to season 2. Loved rewatching Isak's journey. My favorite parts this time around was actually his friendship with the boy squad and his journey to acceptance

des williams

i’m not sure how requests work for yalls channel, but i wanted to recommend “eyewitness (2016)”! one of my favorite mid-2010s queer shows, and it has a mystery/thriller element as well which is super fun!

Mo

omg no one talks about this show and its soooo good

des williams

agreed!! i watched it as it aired and rewatched it again semi recently and it’s still so fun!

G S

This is my favorite gay coming out / first gay relationship storyline since... Marco-Dylan in Season 3 of Degrassi: Next Generation! That's the only other similarly-themed show I can remember that actually made me tear up like this one did. ❤️

Sid

And, of course, the original Eyewitness (2014) is the best... which, unsurprisingly, is... Norwegian....

JessieC

the part where Even admits to having seen Isak the first day of school... school starts mid August in Norway from what I understand and S3 episode1 was the first week of October, so I totally imagine Even plotting madly, purposely positioning himself in front of Isak, etc. the man had plans

Samantha Greenwood

Just binged season 3, so sooo good, I loved the ending, my sweet little Izak 🥰
