We're so excited to be reacting to this Netflix show directed by Phil Abraham, Kyle Patrick Alvarez, Silas Howard, Peter Hoar and Tanya Hamilton, starring the likes of Miles Heizer, Max Parker, Vera Farmiga, and Liam Oh.

Bullied gay teen Cameron (Miles Heizier) joins the Marine Corps with his best friend Ray (Liam Oh) despite risks. In boot camp, they experience profound personal change amid danger, as their platoon confronts both literal and figurative landmines.

In the letter by the fire 'NOIS' is NCIS, you misread that bit. W says to watch your six (six o'clock on the clock (military direction speak) so watch your back.

I went through Basic Training in Fort Benning, Ga and the tower/rope course is 60 ft tall. The rope course isn’t too difficult if you’re not afraid of heights and can balance.

I'm obsessed with this show. And the fact they cast openly gay actors to tell a queer story is such a plus in my book. Max Parker (Sgt. Sullivan), Miles Heizer and Angus O'brian (Hicks) all being openly gay actors.. Chef's kiss.

The letter said "NCIS (criminal investigation service) is poking around" so yes, investigating people they think are gay.

The gas chamber is to prepare you for chemical warfare and they usually give you a task to do in the chamber so you’re able to react in a real life situation. Being in the military is a unique experience and going to war is even crazier.. it makes you stronger and a little crazy lol That’s why so many of us in the military requires mental health care and the government is paying more and more in healthcare and veteran disability benefits.

Gay recognizes gay 🤣🤣🤣 Self loathing is just one the frequent stops Gen X and Boomers before us had to make before we made tons elf acceptance. If there's one thing I envy about Millenials and Gen Z is that they don't have to carry any of that baggage when you're first discovering yourselves.

They have amazing chemistry as actors and gay men but it's also that disapproving mentor to novice student. We're all rooting for Cameron and how much it means to get the approval of some older who is like the him that he is hiding.

Adam, what is your charm on your necklace? Bradley, I can tell you have a medallion, and I'm sure there's a story there too, just the shape of Adam's is more intriguing. Is it dog? The bit about Jesse Jackson hit with me, and brought up so many memories! Now they're gone, I tend to forget how early my parents were in trying to make all of their kids civically aware. I was only six at the start of 1984! Jackson and his Rainbow Coalition was incredible, way before it's time, or maybe still connected to it's then recent past of progressivism here in the 70s (Women's lib, Free to Be you and Me type tolerance etc). He was Obama before Obama. Hell, for national attention, he was Bernie, before Bernie was! Not at all queer, but you should check out Mrs America, if you haven't seen it yet! To see how much Reagan set us back, and to see a lot about the first Black Woman Candidate for President! My folks were Democrats, and my mom voted for him in the primary. I don't know if Dad got a shot to vote for Gary Hart who he preferred or whether the sex scandal had already knocked him out, but everyone else chose Mondale and Dems lost the WH to Reagan's 2nd term. Which you'll remember from FT, meant AIDs got years of being ignored, precious years that could saved so many people! In any case, it's always moving to see young people planning a bold destiny for themselves, so good for the Marine candidate who was confiding in Cam!

Hello there! (New here, just for this show!) First of all, I just want to say that I love how you’re both not woke and somehow woke at the same time, haha! ;) It’s refreshing to hear a slightly less masculine perspective for once — and I really like that. As a 23-year-old bisexual guy from Sweden, with a family deeply rooted in the military, I truly appreciate this show. I also understand why you and some others might not fully grasp the discipline or harshness of army life — and that’s totally fine! It’s not meant for everyone. That’s exactly why, during war, everyone serves a different purpose — just like they will in the wars to come. I’ll never forget the day the army came to our home and said they needed one man from the household to go to Ukraine. I stepped forward and left my boyfriend behind. A wise master once said: “We cannot allow our feelings to cloud our judgement.” Because when your enemy comes, they won’t care about what you feel — only about who you are. Are you the one who lets them destroy your family and your home, or the one who stands up and stops them? It shouldn’t have to be that way, but sadly, it is. Anyway! Many of my conservative friends think this show is somewhat “woke,” but I completely disagree. I love this show! No pride flags, no BS, no “feel sorry for me” victimhood — just brilliant storytelling, perfect acting, and a man who happened to be gay at the wrong time in history. That’s real storytelling to me. It’s an honest, genuine story — especially since it’s based on true events. This show is awesome and really gives you perspective. And yes, it might sound cliché, but you don’t truly understand brotherhood until you’ve been there. Much love and respect, Brandon 🫰🏻

It's really just boring old person talk in a lot of cases :). The necklace looked like a Jack Russell Terrorist to me when I spent an absurd amount of time on analyzing the snip I took of it. I'll have to drop a pic of my little four footed cousin in one of the chats! Bradley's, if it has two medallions, one in front and back, is a scalpular, which the devotional thing of wearing one is, it's supposed to prevent you having an unexpected death, guarantee the wearer a chance for a final reconciliation of your life with God to see if you can upgrade your afterlife game! I'm not Catholic anymore, but my woo woo stuff I practice still involves some saint lore and stuff like that.
