We're so back with this new installment of the adopted Vampire Chronicles! 'The Vampire Lestat' is here to melt our faces off with 7 episodes of rock n' roll, sex, drugs and most importantly... our husband is back on our screen. Front and center stage. 🤘🏻

Following the events of the previously reacted to 'Interview with the Vampire' (2022), 'The Vampire Lestat' takes place in 2025 after the interview between Louis De Pointe Du Lac and newfound vampire Daniel Malloy is published and flies off the shelves. Now with vampires exposed (whether they're believed or not), Lestat's rock n' roll world tour is being followed by a documentary crew, and we will witness the greatness that is, the Vampire Lestat.

Boas, leather pants, blood, nudity, music, fights and NEXT-LEVEL DRAMA to be expected. Plus our husbands will finally be reunited. And we're here for it all. 🎸

A couple notes for the next reaction - the sound level of the episode was too low compared to your audio so it was hard to hear the episode. This episode in particular it seemed like you guys were missing a lot of dialogue as you were talking over a lot of it. We want to hear your annecdotes and reactions but you were having full on conversations while the episode was going on. I hope you guys rewatch on your own so you pick up everything.

Piggybacking on this. I definitely love your play by play reactions... something other multi-person reaction channels do is use earpods/headsets... this way you can also catch (even subconsciously) the dialogue happening while still keeping your awesome theories/commentary coming simultaneously! As a fellow New Yorker I know how crazy the "concrete jungle sounds" in the background can be and you would also cut that down for your self! Just a thought to consider.

So many abandonment issues 😫 It was really sad when Lestat reminded Gabriella that they were still human when she made things abusive... he wants to be angry with her, because its awful, and then she immediately says she loves him to manipulate him again, she's so gross :( This evolving Daniel/Armand situation is from the books...I haven't read but I'm aware of that. I think Armand is actually sorry, but yikes. Seems like San Francisco was a BIG deal for everyone and is still important 2 seasons later. but I NEED y'all to have your feelings hurt like mine were- so that necklace Gabriella left behind on the beach was his father's, then hers- Lestat gave it to Claudia for her birthday in the montage where they were a happy family for a minute in season 1 ( he vaguely describes where he got it without saying it was his parents 😭 )

Yeah, in 1x04 he said that he was gifted the necklace by a marquis (his dad without disclosing) who was beheaded by a mob 10 years later (which. Well. That's the cover story for not saying he and Gabriella went back home and murdered them all)

Gabi is actively abusing Lestat. He doesn't want to sleep with her but she uses his need for love. The scene of him walking in on her because she was purposely being loud is a great example of this. He knows what she is doing is wrong which is why he mentions the wolves because that was the first time she overstepped boundaries and him saying 'we were mother and son' shows how he still views it in that way but is trying to use vampirism as the excuse even though she crossed the boundary before they became vampires. Also her being loud with that man is a parallel to last episode when she did the same with Jarda except this time it didn't work which is why she abandoned him and sent him spiraling over it. She is the reason he equates sex with love and the reason he has extreme abandoment issues. Both of these things also play into his relationship with Louis and why things turned out the way that they did.
