Hook Full Movie Reaction!

Comments

Nathan deperio

There’s another Peter Pan movie that came out somewhere in the early 2000s that’s pretty good

#1 hater, year two of the hater crusade continues. Captain Hook, a hater so epic they gave him his own movie and had to call in Robin Williams to stop him. Always kinda wanted to visit Neverland, but couldn't decide whether to visit Quebec or Toronto. Kinda impressive this channel has so many followers with two massive piles of shit in front of the camera while the movie plays.

I'll always love this film. The scene with the little kid trying to smooth out his wrinkles and push his face back into a smile before recognising him is my favourite moment in any robin Williams film. I'm not religious, but either way, I'd like to think that that scene is how any of the kids who grew up watching him and passed greeted him in heaven. I think I read that in a comment and it's makes me emotional everytime I watch that now. 🤌

This is a classic! Here's some cool trivia, only steven and robin knew who was going to be picked as the new leader. The actor who played thudbut had no idea. So his reaction was completely genuine.

Love this film always, I remember I saw this right after I heard Robin Williams passed away, it hurt alot, but this film here made it all better. It's like a role where he can play it straight and funny at the same time, to live would be an awfully great adventure.

This is definitely a film I grew up with, I loved the idea of this movie. Peter Pan growing up and having to learn to be a kid again was brilliant. Dustin Hoffman was perfect as Captain Hook, so funny and yet very vindictive, he actually killed a kid! Bob Hoskins was excellent as Smee, they worked off each other so well. I really liked that it was killing Rufio that caused Jack to come around, so it didn't feel like he died for nothing. And speaking of Rufio, I always loved him and was so bummed and still am when he dies. Dante Bosco sounds like such a cool guy and I'm really glad he's still working and is successful because he too was great in this, he was so young here too. In fact, I think most of the kid actors were good as well. Some of those reactions Jack would give were very funny and seemed genuine. There's a few of things though I've never really cared for or wished they changed a little bit. So, I never really liked his backstory, he was a literal baby and Tinkerbell practically kidnapped him, lol. To me it would have made more sense if he was abandoned, but that wasn't the case here. He says himself that he ran away. And they never really explain why he didn't remember or why Wendy didn't tell him sooner. I also never liked the scene when Tinkerbell turns big, it goes nowhere and is quite pointless, she literally wasted her one wish for that, lol. It's obvious in the original film that Tinkerbell loves Peter and that's why she hates Wendy, she's jealous. But I don't think they needed to go further into it that much. I think it would have been better too if it was Hook's idea to use Peter's children, it would have made him more menacing and it doesn't really fit the Smee character to come up with it. And this is not the movie fault and as funny as the entire scene is, it is quite uncomfortable and difficult to watch the scene when Hook is wanting Smee to stop him from shooting himself, just knowing that's what happened with Robin, it just makes it little eerie and sad, but I do try to just have fun and not think about it.
