Thank for Part 1 of ‘a bunch of people who felt they should’ve been more popular than they were’ Pheleous is definitely better than most but I cannot stand his early videos with the forced sarcasm etc. But I find him more palatable to me today as he no one longer leans into that anymore (or maybe he refined it?). I dig his videos on DTV cartoon stuff and him popping up on Allison’s Pregler’s movie reviews as well. Film Brain , agreed but thats not a hot take. Seemed no one liked his videos back then. To the point where its was a gag in a Spoony video (Tekken: Blood Vengeance, i believe). Think he deserves cred for being so game in Doug’s movies though. Even if just for a gag , many would not have been up to playing a version of themselves ‘that way’ -didn’t mention but he edits videos for Allison Pregler at least snd maybe Pheleous now a days along with doing his own stuff -shockingly, despite being friends with them , he has never publicly shat on Doug and in his anniversary video still seems appreciative of the opportunity (no , seriously pheleous and Allison to this day will still randomly bitch about Doug every now and then in their videos) Other than Paw and TJ, never watched or heard of the others bit oddly I vaguely remember the sock guy. Paw was good and even when I was an ‘edgy’ teen, i found TJ obnoxious and unlikable. I blame him for if an awful discussion does comes up about religion snd someone says ‘well aren’t you atheist?’ I feel response is always a version of ‘I am NOT affiliated with TJ Kirk in any way!!’ Look forward to part 2 of ‘I Strongly Dislike TJ Kirk, Oh Here are some other people affiliated with Channel Awesome as well’

Honestly Phelous was never really my taste but that said I'll give him credit for being ahead of his time & basically being the reverse linkara, if anything what most people probably remember him from is the change the channel drama

That will be part of a dedicated video on the Change the Channel drama, im sort of saving my thoughts for that, but netties videos will be brought up for that in addition to others.

Honestly Film Brain is my spax3 (that said I didn't realize he was still making reviews), honestly he hasn't aged well (& there's some history I have with him but I'm watching this while getting ready for work so I might get into that later) & I watched him mostly because I like negative reviews of terribly made media

Thank you for your thoughts, yeah I didnt really get into that but Iknow Tj Kirk kind of became a the face for online atheists, even if im sure there are many that simply were content not believing in stuff and not making it their entire personality. Is anything the Amazing Athiest was a lot more of an "Antitheist" I suppose. That is funny Film Brain was unpopular even then, I will say I do like him more in the Channel Awesome movies, but yeah Its hard the guage peoples takes on some of these creators the more obscure they get so thank you for that perspective. Also yeah I can understand Phelous's sarcasm not being to your liking, he has kind of softened on being that "character" a bit in recent years for sure lol.

Not sure if you've noticed this yet but J-Dub was one of the only contributors who'd actually do crossovers with smaller channels (It's honestly a shame what he wound up being)

Honestly glad everything worked out for Paw, he was honestly a diamond in the rough (pun intended) & I've only heard good things from anyone who's talked about him

Honestly I always found Mike J to be a better Film Brain than Film Brain but the only thing I really remember the Informercialism where he reviewed the Flexhose & it exploded when he unscrewed it (or the hard boiled egg cooker or the Ped Egg)

Honestly TJ handled the banana incident better than most lolcows today & would you be surprised to know his father was ironically a pastor?

TJ is actually better on his podcasts like The Drunken Peasants (largely because instead of raging about politics & religion, he's mostly this chill stoner who talks about lolcows; media & life)

Honestly I never got the Star Wars rage against Lucas in general, honestly looking back Disney redeemed Lucas via destroying the brand

What TJ doesn't realize is Lolita actually does condemn pedophiles (just subtly being a deconstruction of Little Orphan Annie & Shirley Temple movies), the pov is just from the memoir of the pedo protagonist Humbert who's an unreliable narrator (It's like how other impulsive lair pedophiles, like destiny for example)

I'm honestly surprised Film Brain is on good terms with both side considering how Lupa went after Brand Jones over this I guess it's good to hear Phelous got better over time, I couldn't really stand his sarcasm back then, I know because of that & 2 specific botched reviews was why he was originally hated by Channel Awesome fans TJ actually mentioned he hated doing the Distressed Watcher because (I believe) Michaud told him he could only upload media related videos so he struggled just coming up with topics for the site, for the departure it sounds he was kicked off because of a mixture the fans hating the Distressed Watcher & Atheism+/office politics (Nostalgia Chick & other contributors hated him for being a libertarian (at the time) & essentially for not being the right kind of Atheism & demanded TJ be removed) (& I guess I can tell my Film Brain story here) So anyways years later in collage I got into Final Destination & I found out he straight up lied about the ending of Final Destination 3 (he claimed the alternative ending was the official ending & complained, complained that film didn't end the way FD3 actually ended officially)

I enjoyed Film Brain. Bad Movie Beatdown was hit or miss, but I liked his crossovers and he was excellent in the anniversary movies. I think he bounced well off other people; and when he's goofy as hell and fully committed I was certainly entertained. Suburban Knights was my highlight of his. Got several chuckles from me and that's all I ask from a silly movie. To each their own 😀
