About Star Wars Andor: Andor, also known as Star Wars: Andor, is an American science fiction television series created by Tony Gilroy for the streaming service Disney+. Beginning five years before the events of Rogue One (2016) and A New Hope (1977), the series follows an ensemble cast of characters during the time that a Rebel Alliance is forming in opposition to the Galactic Empire. One of these characters is Cassian Andor, a thief who becomes a revolutionary and eventually joins the Rebellion. Andor was a vital part of Rogue One, the team that ultimately succeeded in obtaining the Death Star plans from the Imperial facility and uploading them to the Rebel Alliance. He and every member of Rogue One gave their lives to save billions of others. @Kim / no spoilers / This is my favourite episode of the show and its probably top 5 in any show. That prison escape scene, the way it builds up to the point when Kino yells out :" NO ONE IS GETTING OUT!!" It's done so well...and it keeps on building the tension, then the breakout starts, and Kino gives that speech. Andy Serkis' performance was nothing short of outstanding and I was already writing this down as my favourite episode. Loved the scene with Mon Mothma, another great scene with very subtle but obvious tension, every scene she was in is amazing. Then comes Luthen with that monologue proving once again that he was perfectly cast for the role. Probably one of the most interesting character in this era of Star Wars. Everyone is aware of Stellan Skarsgard and how good he is but this is the scene. Give these people a good materials and let them have fun with it and they'll prove that Star Wars can be serious and really good. "I condemn to use the tools of my enemy. I burn my decency for someone else's future. I burn my life to make a sunrise I know I'll never see." Outstanding writing, perfect delivery, you can see everything on his face. When you start unpacking that monologue you realize that every line has so much meaning. I adore this show, its so much above everything else Disney did with Star Wars, they might as well be in a different galaxy. I feel sorry for the people who didnt like it. Not flashy enough, no lightsabers, etc... It's made for adults and it does require a certain amount of intelligence to be able to appreciate how good this actually is. This is the show I always wanted. To see how the average people lived under the Empire, how they feel about it, normal people doing their stuff fighting against oppression, etc... I love to see the ISB's inner workings, the birth of the Rebellion, the sacrifices normal people had to make in order to give people a chance to fight back. As for your theory about what they're building... it's interesting, wouldn't it be poetic if he was helping them build the thing that will ultimately destroy him. There is a post credit scene after the last episode ends, make sure you dont miss it. You might find some answers there. Really good vid, I like your style and the thoughtful monologues nice to see you are properly invested lol :)
