I decided to pass on "free content" on my Patreon from now on, as apparently I have no benefit from continuing to do so and I have Patrons who supported me since the very beginning and need to primarily stand by those.

Here you can see the built in EQ presets for the Nothing Headphone (1):

Here the advanced EQ with 8 filters which let's you set frequency and Q-factor freely, although limited to a particular range. In theory this should offer more freedom for adjustment than Sennheiser's EQ for the HDB630, which I coudln't quite fix with just 5 filters.

And "explore" gives you access to some selected "expert-tuned" settings featuring an EQ from SoundGuys which was by far the most usable and which I selected for the last track:

Not bad, just quite hollow and lacks presence a lot

Without EQ I liked the Elex a lot as long as it worked. I also think the updated Sundara sounds really nice, the old version was a bit too harsh. HD600 of course as the „golden standard“. But non was really that good that I would like to spend my money on it, especially those cheek offerings from Dan Clark. I never understood why people would spend money on this. He had maybe hundreds of different models out, why the heck doesn’t he just concentrate on a couple but making them just perfect.

I was wondering if I could improve it even more but actually I won’t waste my money and time on it

I haven’t heard the S5 not sure what the differences will be to the S3, it’s far from perfect but pretty natural sounding, but I think the Sundara sounds better, but it’s open and without Bluetooth, so another category

Hi Oluv, do you have a Tracklist? The first Song „Hold Me Closer“ is by far not the original, but the best version I‘ve ever heared. SHAZAM throws out the wrong (boaring) version.

Test Equipment and procedure change and improve over time so outcome can be different years later

The old Sundara was not that great, besides back then the Q30 was clasdlesding somehow, this was some years back and as long as you haven’t heard anything better you will always think that the current one is best. During tuning of the SpX-R I had like 100 different versions and each one was already satisfying to me until I managed some improvement and the game started all over. I am pretty sure I could achieve even better results but there are or course hardware limitations and sample variation will ruin it too.

It’s a version from Sweet Candies, The Soultrend Orchesta & Papik
