Today we are going to take a look at the old Denon Envaya (DSB200) which was released about 12 years ago and could be regarded as one of the early pioneers among portable speakers, when JBL still offered their tinny OnTour models together with the first JBL Charge and the Charge 2 to follow some months later the same year the Denon was released.

I think even today it doesn’t need to hide itself soundwise and has a particular quality to the sound that even many portable speakers from today do not deliver.

Holy cow, I also remember the Envaya Mini that you gushed over for quite a long time. That was probably also like 12 years ago?

Yeah that was back in the time when actually speakers sounded great, didn't need any additional EQ's or Apps to make them sound really special. Also back then market was not bloated with chinese mess from Zealot or Hopestar or any other crappy company. Its really outstanding what those companies achieved those 10-12years ago! One of the best sounding speakers from Denon was definitely the DSB100 (Envaya Mini)

Hahahaha! I remember my veeeery first bluetooth-speaker. It was a Jabra Solemate. Pretty crappy, but it was my opener to the big world of bluetooth-speakers followed by more than 200 other speakers and my youtube-channel. It was a "nice journey" :-)

Yeah this really shows good things never become old. I instantly rembered your good old YouTube times weile watching this video. But unfortunately i can Not remember which envaya mini was great. Maybe you can help, was it only the DSP-100 or also the DSP-150? Nevertheless a great plan by you with the retro videos.
