This time we will try how the searius may perform outdoors. Outdoor placement is not that easy as usually you try to place the speaker elevated somewhere not to play into the ground etc. But the searius was tuned for exactly that: placing the speaker directly at the ground firing up and offering an omni directional kind of listening. Due to ground placement you will get the necessary bass boost for outdoor use as bass is tuned rather flat for indoor listening. You can still place it elevated for more directional listening, but you will lose some bass like that.
I also tried optimizing high levels since the last video, which is not that straight-forward, as the passive radiators are tuned very low, there is some lack of energy around 80-100hz because the driver has to handle these frequencies alone. Therefore it is not quite possible to achieve a lot of mid-bass punch at levels close to maximum. I may still try to do further improvements if possible, but technically there is simply not that much headroom, although I wouldn't say that it performs that much worse than a Uboom L with outdoor mode offering a similar maximum loudness.
Next time I would like to listen to it in our living room compared to some other common speakers.
