Someone had asked how 2 sEARius would sound against the Uboom X which we will test now. First we will try if a single sEARius has any chance, later on I will add the second one and towards the end I will also set up the iLoud Micro Monitors and we can listen how 2 sEARius sound against this semiprofessional monitoring system.

I ordered a Dali Katch G2 which should arrive next week I hope you are as curious as me how this will perform, as reviews seem mixed. Some praise the audiophile sound, while others complain about lack of bass...

I also have good news, the factory is currently testing the rubber thickness to achieve exactly the same properties like my initial samples. Once finished they will send me some pairs of passive radiator units and I can swap them by myself. I am confident that this will fix all issues, as already adding some weight to the radiators improves the performance significantly, but the current rubber is simply too thick and cannot move enough at the given resonance frequency.

By adding some weight to the current ones, I can acutally enjoy listening to music, it's just the really heavy recordings that can make bass distort slightly, although it's still better then on many commercial speakers like the KEF for example.

It's easy to tell the Uboom X has more bass power but I'm impressed how competitive the 2 sEARius are. Their bass is tighter. They sound balanced, refined, and more revealing. The Uboom X sounds rather muffled in comparison. With my Uboom X I often have to be careful about how close to boundaries I position it as to not get boomy bass. I could see how the sEARius could be more flexible with placement while providing satisfying bass that's well-balanced in depth, roundness, and tightness. I didn't the realize the iLoud Micros were that boomy..
