This was my last video I managed to shoot before my microphones broke.  I have another equal pair and will continue using those. 

I am not fully satisfied with the sound captured of the headphone. I somehow got better and more realistic results in my previous videos. 

I am currently checking my recording method for consistency by doing several test recordings after I taking the microphones out and re-inserting them again to see if there will a big variation in the captured sound.

These seem intriguing, but I'm wondering, since normal mode is more bassheavy, is it possible to get the mids and treble to a similar level to ANC with the eq? And does the sound change through 3.5mm wired compared to Bluetooth?

I think it sounds best with ANC, I didn’t play with the other modes as they changed the sound too much. If the headphone is turned on but run from cable it will have the same sound as over Bluetooth, otherwise the sound is different.

Interesting, I vaguely remember the Soundcore Space NC and its ANC worked wired 3.5mm, so if ANC also works wired, would the EQ also work wired if the headphone is on?

Yes when it is turned on the EQ and ANC will also work over cable

Well thats great to know, because I've not been a fan of how the sound changes on other Bluetooth headphones such as the Earfun Wave and the B&O H4 where they become less efficient through cable and too bright because there's no eq through 3.5mm

And I'm also wondering how is the volume headroom like and do they lose volume headroom when wired and powered on?

His current EQ settings for the Q30 (sounds best with ANC on and traffic or indoor mode): 100Hz -6 200Hz +5 400Hz +3 800Hz +1 1.6kHz +1 3.2kHz +6 6.4kHz -2 12.8kHz -1

I just got the Sony, it sounds pretty crappy. Not even the user EQ can help here. Not the finest chance against the Q30

I have the XM3 - they sound really horrible. the EQ can make them less horrible (at least remove the ridiculous bass boost) but the EQ doesn't work when using cable so it is meaningless for me.

Oluv, have you tried Shure SRH440? I just got them from Amazon de for 53EUR (before tax) and they are great! to me, they are better then K361, which are somewhat "veiled" in my opinion. They have a small mid bass boost which is preferable to me over the somewhat unnatural subbass boost of the K361, and the midrange is very natural. The soundstage is also wider. I wonder why aren't them more popular.

No I only reviewed the 880 which was pretty bad though, not even taking the price into account. I wouldn’t expect the cheaper lower grade model to actually perform better. According to Sonarworks’ measurements the 440 also has some stronger treble peaks.

I got the XM4 today as I wanted to hear by myself if it’s really that great. I was shocked how bad it sounds though, with the user EQ you can improve the sound a bit bit but it’s still not a headphone I would pay 369€ for. ANC is quite decent, seems to be more efficient than the Q30 but it’s also very sensitive to wind and head movement. Those headphones are not suitable if you move a lot or go running etc.

Definitely, the treble peaks are noticeable, sometimes strings sound too shrill, but it depends on the mastering. The treble on the dt770 really bothered me, but not so on srh440. Crinacle measured both 440, 880 (and 1540, which tyll also liked) and he gave the 440 very positive review. though he also gave the 840 a positive review, but regarding them as a good V-Shape pair as opposed to 440 being neutral.

Hi Oluv! So i just bought the Wf-1000xm4. I find the sound really good so far and I've seen in one ofnyour videos that you liked it to. I was wondering if you applied and eq tuning in the sony app to make it sound better?
