I found my old Flip 4 in the cellar and thought it may be interesting to hear how it compares against the recent Sonos Roam especially for casual listening outdoors. I am not sure the Flip 5 sounds that much better than the Flip 4, because when I had the chance to compare both in a store I was not that impressed and  never really considered getting one, but kept the Flip 4 instead, although I haven't used it for quite a while.

Sonos Roam vs JBL Flip 4

If you keep publishing videos with Sonos Roam, I will buy one :)). It sounds really good. Still I don’t think is great for outdoors, in garden. I’m looking for a speaker for outdoor, to listen music in my garden, not very big, :with good base and I don’t know what to buy. Any suggestions? Also with wifi it would be great…I hate that music stops when I do something with sound on my phone. I have a Stockwell 2 which I love, but sometimes I would like deeper bass. I had bose home portable speaker but it had a weird sound which i did not like

Hmm… I wonder how the Sonos would compare to the Anker Boost - I imagine quite thin in comparison

What do you think about the Beolit? I wouldn’t know anything similar with good 360 degree coverage and that deep sound. But of course it’s pretty expensive, still I would take it over a Kilburn II probably

OH that reminds me, did you ever get the HK citaton 200, i think i remember you talking about such a speaker and also onyx studio 7. But well in this case i am just mentioning because might be also a great one for MR. Vlad here.

I didn’t get the Citation as my friend tested it and it never sounded right. At low levels it was too thin at high levels too thick sounding and the mids were not that great either. He returned it and didn’t recommend getting it.

Yes, I have tried a citation 200 and you are completely right, It is thin at low levels. I believe that Beolit 20 is a great choice, but is too expensive for what it offers, at least if it had wifi...I don't know how Beolit 17 sounds...thanks for the suggestion. I will keep searching. It will be great if sonos had something between roam and move, the move is too big and the roam too small...at least for my needs.

I stumbled across a Sonos move at an outdoor party. Although I'm not a Sonos fan I must say it produced a convincing deep bakground sound. Very pleasent. I'm not sure why Oluv hasn't reviewed it yet (how has he?). Anyhow, it for sure wasn't that big and bulky. Slightly bigger than a revolve +

Youre the reason I bought my orginial flip 4! Its gotta be 3+ years old now, just replaced the battery on it for 10$.
