Bought an onyx 7 with high expectations and was extremely disappointed. So much so that I even returned my unit because it was unbearable. No treble at all, terrible mids and wayyy overpowered bass. Even my girlfriend who is not a big sound person could tell that the Onyx is terrible. I compared it against the uboom l on 045 and the onyx sounded like it was playing from behind a curtain. I'm buying a Helsinki to see if I like it, then an Oslo and i'll see which stays. One thing is for sure I'm not buying another HK product again.

The Tribit should come with a FM antenna in the box. It should plug in the AUX port

Just ordered another XB33 - to try it as a stereo pair. Might hopefully be really cool to hear the Sony in real stereo. Onyx on lower volumes is crappy.

This was interesting ! The Helsinki is more for my taste ! Very special design, build quality, size and this phenomenal neutral sound. Thank you Olaf !

you may also consider the Oslo. I am not sure if they are still available anywhere. The Olso with latenight sounds quite similar to the Helsinki with boosted and has more power at the same time.

My choice was the Copenhagen and I'm really glad with that. BTW I have two original Helsinki in Sandstone Grey here for sale in unopened packaging. Someone interest?

I listened to them but most weren’t quite suitable for tests as there were too many changes all the time and I didn’t like them overall

I prefer the Helsinki much more it may not have the deep bass of the onyx studio 7 but the resolution and this openness is unmatched for a speaker of this size. Sometimes the onyx 7 bass can be too much, like you say it’s drowning indoor, it can be boring with jazz or other acoustic tracks Good review as always, it helped me quite a lot again Keep up the good work
