First I wanted to hear how much improvement there is in sound compared to the classic "Soundlink Mini". I have shot another long video with the Soundlink Flex in the meantime, so please be patient.

About the only thing I own from Bose these days is the venerable SoundDock (version 1 for the old iPod). I recently turned it into my PC speaker at my office desk by using a DOCKPRO ("Fanxoo") BT 5.0 / 30-pin dongle/adapter with Aptx HD (US$26 on AliEx). Works OK and is a perfect mount for the PC HD webcam that is conveniently perched on top. This was the only BT 5.0 adapter I could source that was able to power on using this Version 1 Sounddock. Cheaper variants...no such luck.

Reminds me of the sony speaker sound (old black red rectangular one ) too much boomy bass. Overpriced name check products.

I had also considered the Flex, but then decided on the Audio Pro P5. Although this has for me a relatively serious disadvantage (you can only ON / OFF, volume, and BT pairing control on the device itself - play / pause etc. is not provided), I hope for very good sound. Should come tomorrow, am really excited. The Bose has about the same dimensions and the same concept, but when I hear the here so, it is as always this typical bass-emphasized, unbalanced Bose sound. I don't want that. Although it seems to sound better when lying down...

Der P5 benötigt etwas Bassabsenkung und Hochtonanhebung, dann klingt er richtig fein. Aus 700 Gramm so ein Fundament rauszuholen, ist enorm. Ganz viel Potential, aber das Werkstuning ist oberbasslastig und verhangen, wie ein 80er Mono-Kofferadio mit aufgedrehten Tiefen.
