I will never forget the way i cried watching this episode. Beom Seok was done like he was already pissing me off but this really did it for me, I agree with seb like i dont give a fuck like yes his father was terrible to him but doing all this shit to anyone and yet a FRIEND is insane.

I love your reactions and I do agree a lot. Yes suho was on the ground when Kang woo kicked him but they still fought when Kang woo got body slammed on the ground. He did have his arm over his head when one of the bully’s did grab suho’s leg. So it’s possible he didn’t see it, also a part of him did not enjoy seeing suho being kicked in and he definitely could have stepped in. Beomseuk pisses me off more then anyone tho, he hired a fighter that hates suho and basically wanted suho dead, the fighter knocks suho out and beomsuek kicks his head in and possibly kills him and then feels bad like what did you think was going to happen. You hired a literal fighter and then decided to take things into your own hands when he was vulnerable. Also I could be really biased due to me liking villains more than most people. I like seeing the villains win but that’s just my thoughts and opinions.

What truly breaks me is that Soo Ho, despite not even knowing what he did wrong, swallowed his pride and apologized—not for himself, but for Si Eun, because he knew how deeply Si Eun was hurting. That was all that mattered to him. But Beom Seok? He flat-out refused, not out of principle, but simply because he wanted to spite Soo Ho. He chose cruelty over compassion, betrayal over friendship. The fact that Soo Ho offered such genuine sincerity and Beom Seok crushed it out of spite makes me sick.

Soo Ho actually did try to reach out-he asked Beom Seok what was wrong, but Beom Seok never explained. Instead, he let his bottled-up frustration spill out in the worst way, which only triggered Soo Ho further. ('What do you mean I'm ordering you around? Do you really think that?') From there, everything spiraled, because neither of them could bridge the gap-they just kept pushing each other's buttons. From Soo Ho's perspective, it must have felt like betrayal out of nowhere. He's a straightforward person by nature, so suddenly being treated coldly and rudely by someone he considered a friend would be both confusing and deeply painful. People forget that Soo Ho is just a teenager too-he felt the sting of betrayal as deeply as anyone, especially because this all started so suddenly. He helped Beom Seok, treated him as a real friend, and then had to watch him side with the very bullies who tormented him. That must have been devastating. And what's worse, Soo Ho could clearly see that Beom Seok didn't even want to talk it out-not even with Si Eun, who was just as hurt

beomseok is an insecure kid whereas suho is an assertive or confident person. thats why beomseok cant vibe with suho as much as he wanted to if anger didnt overpower beomseok. i know he would’ve been good friends with suho and sieun

This isn't usually the kind of show I enjoy-it's intense, heartbreaking, and at times terrifying to watch. But what makes it so compelling is the bond between Soo Ho and Si Eun. They would literally risk their lives for each other, fighting each other's battles and standing side by side no matter what. Their friendship is so powerful that even the creators and actors have described it as being like a 'first love.' From the moment they met, their connection was instant and deep-so much so that they were willing to die to protect one another. Season 2 carries a lighter tone, but still explores the dark consequences left behind from Season 1. And I have to say, Jihoon's performance as SiEun in Episode 8 is absolutely phenomenal.

Suho will always be that GOAT. As for Beomseok, I do think he genuinely feels hurt by his own actions, but when Suho asked him to apologise to Sieun and the girl, there was no way he’d comply. Not because he doesn’t feel remorse, but because it’s Suho asking. To him, apologising would mean lowering himself and submitting to Suho’s authority and his pride won’t let that happen. Next episode is peakkk.

to be fare, murder isn't really al that impossible, because until a certain age, children and teenager can't be legally held responsible in South Korea, they can literally get away with murder. Even though Beomseok's definitely in the wrong and an asshole, every time I see the scene where he's hiding in the closet with all the toys around him I remember he's also just a kid who's never experienced love or compassion before. I feel bad that he chose to be the villain. Goes to show you that the way you grow up plays a big role transforming your personality. Clear case of "the abused becomes the abuser"

Yeah, it’s wild people even still feel bad for beom seok. What happens to you don’t justify going after those who aren’t the reason for whatever happened in your life. Especially when you’ve had and were given plenty of chances to change your behavior and mindset. Beom seok directed all his anger and grievances towards the one person who actually stood up for him and tried to help him. The people he truly should’ve taken all his anger and grievances up with is his “father” and the bullies. Targeting both towards suho was a cheap and an inexcusable act. I don’t care what happened to him in his life, it still doesn’t justify what he did to suho. Because at the end of the day, the abuse he gets from his “father” and the bullies won’t stop bothering him if he only goes after suho. Now that suho is out of the picture, who will he go after now to target his anger and grievances towards after the abuse and bullying continues to happen? The whole situation was pointless and evil.

I want to pity him, but he had too many chances to stop. Especially when sieun even told him. When you have plenty of opportunities to change your mindset, behavior and deescalate everything, then still don’t take up on those opportunities is when i lose all the care in the world for you. Even after suho apologizing to his face in front of everyone was an opportunity to squash everything. At that point, you’re a lost cause to me. No point in feeling bad for you after that.

Ty tt! Beomseok to me is the most complex character and one of the best written, his feelings are valid and the viewers can feel for him but his actions are NOT. He had a lot of chances to stop what he was doing but didnt, the extent to his actions were so hard to watch :/ so excited i love episode 8 ITS PEAKK, and i cant wait to see your guys reaction to season 2 as well!

I’m usually a silent listener but honestly after this episode, I just feel the need to comment. Weak hero is my all time fav kdrama and I can assure you you guys are not ready for episode 8 and season 2. It’s weird cause I already know what’s going to happen but it’s just really nice to watch it all over again with you guys honestly. Tbh I hate Beomseok and what he did is never justifiable, but like… a tiny part of me still feels kinda sad for him. Like his life is a mess, with daddy issues and mental problems. I know that’s not an excuse and he’s basically a criminal and a bad person, but idk… I still feel a little sad for him.

Absolutely love the reactions❤️ I usually just watch and like every video I watch. But I just had to say this, yes Beom- Seok is terrible for what he did, but you can’t help to feel a little sad for him, because we all knew how lonely he was and how much he just wanted to be accepted. But that does not negate his behavior, he made it so that he could never redeem his self and become there friend again. And that makes me feel sad for him again, because now you just fucked up big time and he’ll probably never have “real” friends ever again. Can’t wait for episode 8 and season 2!!! Beom-Seok was never ready to have a friendship, he was already wound when he came in that school, he couldn’t perceive reality as it is, the way he couldn’t see how Su ho was the genuine guy but got jealous of the friendships he had with other people was never healthy, the way he wanted to leach to any group of people just to feel included and nothing besides it mattered to him, not the way they were using him or the way his behavior towards others wasn’t morally right . And he lost the plot and failed to see genuine love from Si eun and Su ho. I need to say every actor in this drama is phenomenal!!!!!! Especially Park Jihoon( Si eun)
