YAYAYAYAYAY

SUCH A GOOD EPISODE!! So as previously stated a 'Heavenly Pact' is a trade off system, where instead of having or getting one thing, you instead get the benefit of something else. In the JJK universe, these pacts aren't 'made' or 'gained'. People who have them are born with it. So, characters like Toji and Maki were born with a heavenly pact where they're insanely strong despite not having cursed energy.

Holy rant 😭 I just love the JJK verse it's so interesting

But also I don't think Gojo said that to Megumi in a literal way. It might be Gojo's way of expressing that he wants Megumi to be able to keep up with his lifestyle, since Gojo's basically taking him under his wing and Gojo understands how difficult it will be when Megumi goes on the same path.

just wanna say charlie is right that geto did die in jjk 0 movie!!! this season will probably answer some questions you have about that !!! so excited for it 🙂‍↔️

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Watching Geto for 4 episodes turn into Geto from the movie but still can't tell they're the same person. It has to be a special gift 🤣🤣🤣

Tyler Ngo

You gotta really pay attention to small details when watching this, it’s pretty hard to do when you’re watching many shows though! Love your stuff!

Amanda P

We don’t see Geto get up and walk away alive in the movie 😉

Maj

"I didn't think he was in the movie" Ben mate you've had a howler there 🤣🤣🤣

sk

megumi has a lot of potential, that's all he has

Bambina

Actually you have a point. Gojo is the strongest yet he didn’t kill Geto for 10 years? So I agree that if Gojo wanted to, he would’ve, but he didn’t want to, so I agree - he let him live, continuously throughout those 10 years (the timeline from this episode until the movie). And then in the movie we hear Gojo kill Geto (or so we are made to think).

sav

the potential man..

asc1998

y'all really need a white board haha save u guys the trouble from confusing yourselves lolol

Di

that was crazy. i hope they look back at some of these episodes because they have been missing somethings. Like the end scene in the last episode. And we already learned about heavenly pacts.

about the "What kind of of girl is your ideal type?" thingy you've been seeing going in the anime, only happens with 2 characters. Do you remember Todo's backstory? An older woman approached him and asked him "what kind of girl is your ideal type?". That older woman is yuki! Yuki is the one that talked to geto in this episode! Because of her, Todo also uses that line! So the only two people who says this line is Yuki and Todo!

nplaza777

make sure you watch the bluray version of episode 17. The first version of the episode was rushed and alot of it is missing.

Congrats

chill chill we know you want to see the prper reraction to that fight

Congrats

Man cant wait for s2. About gojo saying that megumi needs to catch up with him...megumi has a pretty strong techniqe you will see why in season 2. All i can say

KeliTTries

Itadori does also tell the principal, unsolicited, exactly what his type is in episode 2 when he first gets to Jujutsu High. Before Todo is even introduced. I think the implication there was that the two were pre-destined to be bros.

Katu

y'all are leaving that corny ass joke on reaction channels... gtfo

Just a quick clarification about the Heavenly Pacts: Heavenly Restrictions or Heavenly Pacts are natural pacts people are born with, not something they choose to obtain voluntarily. It trades one ability for another to create balance. There are three people who we know have them so far: Toji Fushiguro (previously Zenin), Maki Zenin and Mechamaru. Toji Fushiguro was born with ZERO cursed energy, but in exchange gained superhuman strength, speed, and senses, making him incredibly powerful physically. Maki (the girl in season 1 with that glasses and a pony tail) also has a Heavenly Pact and was born with very little cursed energy giving her enhanced physical abilities similar to Toji’s but not ZERO cursed energy like Toji so therefore, the physical abilities she gained in exchange arent as powerful as Tojis. On the other hand, Mechamaru’s (the robot guy from season 1) Pact works the opposite way, his body is weak and fragile, but he gained huge amounts of cursed energy that lets him control puppet bodies (the robots) from afar.

This is long so feel free not to read if you dont need it but it's a refresher of the timeline as well as how Getos morality changed just so that everything makes more sense before season 2: This arc takes place in 2006. It starts with Geto as the moral compass and Gojo questioning his purpose. During the basketball scene, Gojo wonders why sorcerers should protect non-sorcerers when they’re the ones creating curses, while Geto argues it’s their responsibility. After meeting Riko Amanai, she’s killed by Toji, and when they return for her body, they find the non-sorcerer religious group, who supported the merger between Tengen and the Star Plasma Vessel, followers clapping at her death. They celebrated because Riko's death meant the merger was prevented, which was their goal. Their applause over a child’s death enrages Gojo, who wants to kill them, but Geto stops him. This moment cracks Geto’s faith in humanity and begins his moral downfall. A year later, Gojo has become far stronger, and both start taking missions separately. Haibara’s death pushes Geto further into despair, and Toji’s earlier words, that they lost to a “monkey” who can’t even use jujutsu, stick with him subconsciously (he later starts calling all non-sorcerers 'monkeys'). Eventually, on a later mission, villagers demand he kill two sorcerer girls even after he exorcises the curse. That’s his breaking point, he kills the entire village, adopts the girls, leaves Jujutsu society, and forms his cult. In their final conversation before Geto walks away, the two reflect opposite paths: Gojo now chooses to save who he can, while Geto believes non-sorcerers shouldn’t exist, a complete 180 from their moral codes at the start of this arc. About ten years later (2016), in the movie, Geto returns as the leader of a curse-using cult. He targets Yuta and Rika, hoping to create a world where only sorcerers survive. After he’s defeated, Gojo finds him, and it's implied that he kills him but we never see what happens next, leaving his death ambiguous. By Season 1 (2018), Geto is still alive, operating from the shadows. It’s implied that Jujutsu High is not aware of that he's still alive. Whats interesting is that his motives seem to have changed from wanting only sorcerers to exist, to working with Mahito, Jogo, and Hanami toward a world where curses themselves might become the 'new humans'.

Jiminn lvr

omg thats actually a good observation that really went past my head

Rick Turpentine

she was referring to natural selection. If you start killing non-sorcerers then as time goes by less and less non-sorcerers live to pass on their genetics meaning more sorcerers breed and create offspring that are sorcerers as well. They dont adapt by choice and choose to turn into sorcerers, it just occurs "naturally" as a process of eliminating non-sorcerers.

komispo

the way my brother made that meme,, his legacy in the jjk fandom is crazy

J-Lee

Yes, it wasn't shown on the screen but we heard Gojo killed him. And that was the first question on my mind what happened during my first watch too.

jesus navarrete

Yuki can’t read minds lol Geto was just surprised someone agreed with what he said.

Etain

i just love how when someone tries to clarify something but it's wrong information and each one tries to clarify the other with equally wrong information and it's just a cycle LOLOOL
