there is a very very high chance class 3 will be filmed. Although, technically weak hero is over as the show has covered everything in the manhwa (webtoon). The success of class 1 and 2 and the open ending of class 2 makes it already likely there will be a class 3. Also, in an interview, Choi Hyunuk (actor for suho) was asked if we will see suho and baku team up in class 3, and the director signalled for Choi to avoid the question by giving him the cross sign with his arms. All of this makes class 3 very likely, however, it may take another 3 years or even longer this time for class 3 to come out since the director has to create an entirely new script from scratch as the webtoon only covers class 1 and 2.

The mob guy probably did it. The last time he saw Baekjin, he told him that if he needed to come back, he would kill him. However, there are sooooo many theories about whether he's actually dead or not. I think that's probably what season 3 would be about, if there's a season 3 at all.

I feel the same too. it's a tool of necessity rather than a choice, for those small but high-damage strikes, hitting joints or limbs. Like what he did. Sieun is self aware, he knows he cannot win against Baek-jin who is physically dominant so instead adopts a plan to buy time for his allies. He is just levelling the playing field.

Knuckle Duster dilemma -> Honestly, it actually makes sense when you think about it. It’s not some random “out of character” move, it’s Si-eun doing what he has to do. He's smart, but not strong, and this time he’s backed into a corner where brains alone won’t cut it. He’s stepping into a more dangerous space, that’s way beyond his limits. The stakes as we can see, are higher. If anything, that moment shows just how much he’s changed. He’s willing to cross lines he once swore he wouldn’t, not for power, but to protect his friends and finally take down the system that’s been crushing them all along.

I think we need to put respect on Baek Jin’s name because the level of skill and strength he has to take on Baku and then Sieun with knuckle busters while already extremely injured. Wow! I’m with Seb though, I think the boss man killed him. This series is such amazing series and i honestly cannot recommend it enough. Taking out all the violence, this friendship group that sieun made in this season is top notch and im so glad he found friends in Baku, gotak and jun tae (+suho) Imo, You guys need to watch “My name” also on Netflix. Definitely recommend it. It’s action packed and the acting is amazing!

Baekjin is unstoppable. Two people needed to get him down and he was still winning with one leg and one arm. And he was taken down because Baku caught him off guard. imo just because Baku taught him how to fight when they were kids doesn't make him stronger.

The whole point of the show is that Sieun can't fight. He is literally weak. The only thing he has going for him is will. He has so much pent-up rage, determination and willpower that drives him to go against such better fighters than him. However, it's not his will that allows him to emerge with a win but, rather the use of the weapons. Last season, in episode 8, when he was fighting with Woo-yeong in the gym, while his will allowed him to push through multiple tough punches and hits, in the end, it was the use of the dumbbell and the shoelace that allowed him to win. Therefore, he is a weak fighter. This is why I honestly commend the use of the brass knuckles in the fight. It showcases Si-eun's character as someone who is smart, tactile and uses things to his advantage even if they may breach rules. While yes, what Charlie is saying is technically and morally right, Si-eun using the knuckles may seem unfair and take away from the win as Baek-jin was empty-handed, Seb has made an essential point. The whole point is that Si-eun doesn't care about fair fights and will do anything and everything in his power to emerge victorious. Also, just wanted to add, if Si-eun did not have the knuckles, there is no way in hell he would have been able to not even take down Baek-jin, but even just injure him slightly. Baek-jin is literally the 2nd best, maybe even 1st best fighter in the series, so Si-eun using his pure adrenaline and nothing else to beat him or even injure him to the point where he was disarmed long enough for Baku to step in would've looked honestly ridiculous to me. I mean, Baek-jin's portrayed as this amazing fighter who can't be taken down by anyone but Baku and then all of a sudden Sieun, a guy with literally zilch skills, takes him down? That would make absolutely no sense to me. Great reaction guys! I loved the discussion and your different takes, keep it up!

Baekjin is an INCREDIBLE fighter. It took 2 of the best people to take him down and they literally needed to BREAK his body. Whether you feel it's fair or not, I would not believe for 2 second that Si eun could've beat Baek jin without the knuckle busters. He's a smart and scrappy fighter but Baekjin is powerful AND incredibly skilled. I personally don't see a problem with the knuckle busters, I know people saw it as unfair but in the same way Si eun fights to survive, they needed to fight to survive and make sure Eunjang never got into the Union and to make sure Baek jin was never going to be a problem anymore. Anyone could've stepped in to help Baek jin if they really cared about him. There were no boundaries or rules set to specific one on one fighting. Just goes to show the life Baek jin led left him alone while Baku is surrounded by people who fight with and for him.

Train to Busan is not a Kdrama, its a Korean film. A K Drama is specifically any Korean series that is composed of multiple episodes. Squid Game is a kdrama, but alot of people don't consider it to be a real one due to its immense global popularity and its abundance, whereas shows like Weak Hero feel more like authentic Kdramas because theyre not as globally recognised and it feels like you just uncovered a hidden gem

In my opinion, Si-Eun with the brass knuckles is to match the power / weight of Baek-Jin's punches. Physically, Baek-Jin's a lot stronger than Si-Eun. Without weapon, yeah Si-Eun can still hit Baek-Jin, but the damage is not gonna be as much as the damage he will receive from Baek-Jin. If that's the case, Si-Eun's gonna go down even before Baek-Jin took more damage. The whole plan is to weaken Baek-Jin, because he's smart and strong (Si-Eun + Baku).

and my take on Baek-Jin's death, whether he unalive himself or by someone else, it's gotta be related to the boss man. He's the boss of a crime organization and definitely has the mean to do it. He could be pressuring / threatening him or just straight up unalive him. Because the school Union was part of that organization and he's taking the loss from the outcome of the fight. I felt that when the camera is zooming slowly on him in the post credit.

Idk I disagree that I think sieun using brass knuckles was “unfair” the whole show none of the villains feel the need to rely on weapons and make their case and fight without using them and use their fists so obviously beak Jin wasn’t going to bring a weapon or anything like that but sieun is the opposite although he is a strong fighter against these guys he would not stand a chance Beak Jin is incredibly stronger than him in just raw strength and experience so if anything it really levels out the playing field that sieun brought a weapon and incoming considering that’s what he is known for the whole show outsmarting people 10 times is strength and fighting back with anything he can find tbh im the opposite I think if he didn’t have a weapon in the end it would’ve taken away what makes him such a unique character and “hero” but yea so sad the way show came to a end but I’m really glad you guys liked it 😛❤️

If I'm being honest I've been the biggest Sieun girl. But....after watching this series so many times my take is like Baekjin is a much better fighter. Because think about it, his limbs were so weak by the knuckle duster the head collisions and fists yet he still faught Baku and Sieun his arms was so weak then his legs. Also yes the knuckle duster was smart but if he was like that with them imagine how hard it would've been to take him down without the weapon. Despite that Baekjin fought really really well. Like who can fight with two of the best fighters whilst having fractured limbs.

Well sieun was never claimed to be a good fighter. He just fights the best way he knows to get out of the situation alive to see another day. That’s why there are no rules when fighting him. Baku just fights when he feels it’s necessary to based on the circumstances to help everyone for the better. Despite fighting on impulse when he’s enraged, he still advocates for no fighting to keep the peace. And if it wasn’t for baku teaching baekjin how to fight when they were kids, baekjin more than likely wouldn’t have become the fighter he is up until this point. Baekjin just has incredible stamina and endurance, that’s why he was able to fight through the severely injured limbs. Without it, he wouldn’t be as good of a fighter as you claim him to be. And to add to all of this: sieun still went to fight baekjin after literally just getting out of the hospital from getting hit by a truck and taking a beating from that other big guy at the bowling alley. Basically, no one is a better fighter than others. It’s all about how quick they are with their moves, how much they can take and how long they can last in those fights.

I love that you love Week Class Hero, it's such a great show. If you want recommendations for shows that have a similar feeling (intense vibe, great action scenes & brilliant writing/story). What sieun was saying to seongje is that seongje can take a risk of taking the fall of the collapse of the union for exposing the secret account only him and baekjin knows about that was withholding much of the funds made from the union’s crimes. But by also taking that risk, if the union collapses, all their crimes will disappear since the cops turned a blind eye to it as well. The secret account is the only proof of the crimes. But if the crimes disappear, then essentially the secret account becomes a regular bank account with money in it. If baekjin goes down, so does the union. Leaving seongje, the only other person to know about the secret account, to be the new sole owner of the account since baekjin will no longer hold any power since the union was his only source of power. Essentially, sieun was trying to convince seongje to take that risk to help break up the union to weaken the side of the union in the fight by having them lose more fighters for the fight.

Charles, i get where you're coming from with Sieun using the knuckle dusters, but the way I see it the Union is an illegal organization that bullied and manipulated students for years. The Union are the real cheaters. So if they were brought down by some unsportsmanlike fighting by Sieun, I'm completely okay with that, haha. And as Seb and Ben said, it's complete in character for Sieun.

Yeah, but one of those two people taught baekjin how to fight and the other is not claimed to be a good fighter and literally fought baekjin after just getting out of the hospital from being hit by a truck and taking a beating from someone twice his size before even coming to fight baekjin. Idk, i don’t think anyone is a better fighter than anyone else. I just think it’s all about who’s quicker, has better stamina and endurance. Because if you go by all three, technically all 3 people out of the 3 would be considered good fighters.

When the boss went to the bowling alley, he did warn Baekjin that if he wasn't able to do better and avoid problems, he would kill him. The fact that we see the boss right before Baekjin's funeral is for me a way to remind the viewers of this boss and of his "power". But it's true that it's also alluding to Baekjin taking his own life.

Na Baek-jin didn't take his own life. Remember in last episode (Ep 7) the mobster guy came to the bowling alley and said that "If I have to come back here [to clean up another mess] I'll k*ll you." So after the union was defeated and the funds disappeared, he made good on his threat. Seong-je probably suspected as much, which is why he didn't accept the offer to take leadership of a new Union. The reason Seong-je betrayed Baek-jin this season was because he realized his loyalty wasn't reciprocated. So of course he's not going to work for people who consider him just as disposable as Baek-jin.

I have loved re-watching this show with you guys so much! I love how invested you got, that you would pause to have debates about the characters feelings, strategies, fight moves, etc. I would highly recommend that you check out the behind-the-scenes for Season 2. You'll get a lot of good laughs, and it's kind of healing to actually see that cast laugh and smile, haha. For your next series I would highly recommend Happiness! It's my second favorite K-Drama behind Weak Hero. Or, if you guys want to do something completely different, I would recommend "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" as a heartfelt drama, or "Business Proposal" as a rom-com. Either way I can't wait to see what you guys pick! Thanks for the reactions!

If you watch the interview with the cast members and the director (highly recommend btw), they did mention about those knuckle busters. It was meant to be symbolic as a way to put an end to the bullying/fights.

I see this weapons argument all the time and I don't understand it. In fighting there are weight classes and skill levels and those in different levels aren't allowed to fight each other for a reason. But sieun is fighting against people waaaay out of his skill level. They pick on him and don't leave him alone so he's forced to fight and defend himself but these people are true fighters. You could also argue that it's not fair to fight someone who has no fight training when you are a trained fighter. And this show is Weak Hero which shows a weak person who uses objects around him to fight back against those that are attacking him. Out in a field with nothing around there isn't anything for him to use to get out of the situation so he has to bring something with him. I don't think there's a single fight Sieun was apart of where he DIDN'T use an object to his advantage. So if you don't like the knuckles then you have to not like the rest of Sieuns fights imo.

about the knuckle guards, i think it's literally what Sieun's character is. he is a weak hero, literally. he doesn't have skills or technique when he fights; his whole thing is tricking his opponent and catching them off guard. and in any other setting, it would be immoral, but these guys are bullies. they're literally terrorizing him and all his friends and loved ones. We don't care when he plays unfairly because they don't deserve that in the first place.

Baek-Jin ngl my first reaction was took own life, but the more I think, I think the crime boss got rid of him for his failures and ruining the business and losing him a tonne of money. But i like its open ended Yesss the return of Suho, love that final touch. THey say so much while saying solittle which is so moving Also I don't think seongji takes mob boss up, he says it doesn't sound romantic. He's a guy whose crazy, loves the thrill, so my impression was that he doesn't want to take the offer

Can't believe yal didn't CRY WHEN U GUYS SAW SUHO, It's so emotional to see MY MANNNNN again ugh the emotions and I just love how nonchalant he was when he saw Si-eun, really shows Suho's character lol. The end of an era😭😭😭 I will miss this reaction so much!! Also, it is quite heavily insinuated that Sungje is not taking on the Boss man's offer! Sungje saying "That's not very romantic" is saying that he is not very interested. Just like how he decided to help Juntae after saying that he approves of Juntae for being "romantic" as in having romantic ideals of friendship and loyalty (There is no perfect word to translate 낭만 in english honestly, lol. Romantic is the closest, but it is not really about romantic as in love. It's more about holding on to ideals and sentiments that are considered belonging to the olden days, something that is not efficient or logical but are admirable and are rare to find in the modern era). He is never really about team or even money, but simply seeks fun and chaos, which to him is romantic (낭만). So he is simply walking away from the Boss man and the only thing he wants to ask him is if he has heard from Baekjin. He is not interested in the Boss or his operation. He is such a fascinating character, definitely one of my favorites!! haha And it is also HEAVILY hinted that the mob boss killed Baekjin. The way he says Well I am curious too~~ and the very next shot is the funeral flowers sent by "Cheongang" his gang name, it is implying that he killed or surely at least had a part in his death. And yes, Baekjin did grow up in an orphanage. The fact that Baku didn't make fun of the fact that he lives in an orphanage and even complimented the place for being cool and nice without any prejudice or arrogance seems to be what really opened up Baekjin's heart to Baku...To think that he must have been so lonely all his life without a family and later without Baku, makes his character even more tragic...😭 I want a revenge for Baekjin in Weak Hero Class 3!!!!!

I loved your guys debate about Sieun and the brass knuckles (never heard the Australian term knuckle dusters- very funny). You all made great points. I think Sieun is so good at taking hits and never giving up, but he'd have absolutely no chance without an enhancement weapon. The whole point of Sieun's character is that he thinks ahead where he can so that he can have a chance to make up where he lacks in skills. He doesn't care about fighting dirty or unfairly. He cares about winning. He would never come to a pre-planned fight hoping that he could find something to use to his advantage at the last minute. He would come with a plan to win, and in this case his plan is brass knuckles. I agree it felt like a bit of a cheap win, but I don't think you're necessarily supposed to feel like the good guys triumph over the bad guys. I think you're supposed to feel bad for everyone. This method does draw some kind of sympathy for Baekjin because obviously he was the superior fighter. He only lost because they teamed up against him (unhonourably). I think it makes his death more impactful too b\c it really does seem unfair.

The Glory next! And imo the knuckleduster was in keeping with Si-eun’s character. The first thing Si-eun does almost anytime he decides to fight is identifying the weapons he can use. So when he is planning for a fight in advance it makes sense that he would think “what weapon can I bring with me?” I also think that we established that Baek-Jin’s power level and ability to withstand hits is on par, if not higher than Baku’s, just in that fight where he nearly won before Baku had to tap out for Si-eun. Also because they knew they would need a plan that used the both of them to win against Baek-Jin. Si-eun at this point is not at Baku or Baek-Jin’s level, something I’m sure he was aware of - so he would have known that he would not be effective enough in that fight without a weapon.

Baek Jin is much stronger than si-eun. Si-eun hits wouldn’t have been as impactful, specifically when he was hitting his leg, his regular punches wouldn’t have worked. We also know that Si-eun fights to win by any means necessary and he fights to seriously injure the person. We know that from the very first episode of season 1, his first thought was to stab a student and beat someone with a text book. In the manwha Si-eun’s nickname is white mamba, just to prove how savage Si-eun is.

yess this episode and series is so PEAK! i will say the best kdramas to watch for next would either be: bloodhounds, the glory, or all of us are dead. romance kdramas that are really good is: business proposal, crash landing on you, secratary kim or itaewon class (itaewon class also has revenge elements w/romance at the end.) if you want to watch behind the scenes of season 1 and 2 of weak hero too, i would reccomend doing it cause the chemistry between the actors is sooooo goood. especially with "suho" and "si-eun". also si-eun's real name is "park jihoon" and he is a kpop idol, he really looks up to taehyung from BTS and got close to him during 2017-19. to be fair taehyung is friends with ALOT of kdrama actors; even the main actor in Squid Game lol

When I first watched Suho and Sieun’s reunion scene, I felt like we didn’t get enough. I wanted a hug at least, but after thinking about it and rewatching, I realized that it wouldn’t be in character for him. Expressing emotions has never been his forte. He was overwhelmed and just couldn’t believe his own happiness. And that’s why their conversation, which seemed dry at first glance, actually has a lot of hidden meaning!!

I do understand the win feeling a little unbalanced at first for sure and totallyyy agree on this final fight having rules of engagement 100% - but Seb's point is ultimately it, Baekjin is alone - he has literally no one who cares about him and I feel that is one of the biggest takeaways from his character and what they were building the whole season, his weakness was his ego as well as his deep routed loneliness that he was proving time and time again because he desperately wanted his friend back - I think he truly only saw Baku as his equal which ultimately is not what loved ones are there for showing yet another weakness of Baekjin, he doesn't know how to truly care for anyone since Baku is the only friend he's known There are just a lot of layers to this show xD

I know I am sooo late but I just have to say I do not care one bit about the "rules of the fight" when the "fight" is a boy desperately trying to stop the constant abuse he has been going through for weeks and weeks by a group of repeated aggressors. Si eun doesn't have to abide by any rules in my book. The poor kid never wanted any of this from the start. I personally cannot watch a boy get endlessly attacked and brutalized by dozens of people and then complain about how he is unfairly using a weapon against them. This wasn't baekjin and si eun scrapping out their mutual, low-stakes, typical high-school beef, this is a victim fending for themselves in any way he can. He could have chosen any other method/weapon for all I care. I genuinely could not bring myself to even try and criticize him for his decisions from an outsiders perspective, never having gone through even half of what he has been forced to endure FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON mind you... 😭😭😭

Seb smiling at the end for Suho is so cute I was Seb when I first watched that scene🥹🥹 btw as a Korean I confirm that Baek-jin was killed by Chunkang. The last time the top chief man came, he warned Baekjin that the next time he has to step in, he will kill him. That was the final warning. And it is kind of a lore of those gangs to kill the top dog who messed up when closing a business 'cause they don't want any witness to be alive. There is a high chance that they chose Baekjin as the Union's leader cause he is an orphan. Which means it is easier to kill him and end the business without anyone trying to find out what happened, or why he died. Anyways, enjoyed your reactions so much! Love yall
