guys some clarification points: the prisoner killed the doctor's DAD not his grandfather; the letters the mom was reading said "father" bc they were directed at her son not at her - since he switched to his private practice his correspondence was still being sent to his former place of employment, that's why she was looking through them Dong-Eun is not forcing the doctor to help her - that's why she avoided him at first. To her, he was too pure/nice to be involved. He made the decision on his own. Since his father was killed he understands wanting revenge Dong-Eun wants revenge and she will do shady things but she works her way around her acts - she is indirect and lets others get their hands dirty. She's merely dropping the first domino and letting the pieces fall as they have to - that scene where she is telling her helper/the wife that her daughter is being sent away bc her dad will die doesn't mean that she will make the mom take the blame for his death, but rather because things might get hectic when that happens, she doesn't want the daughter there to be involved Also this episode seemed like a finale bc it was sort of one lol the show was split in half when it came out! 8 episodes were released at once and the rest were released after about a month! So this was the mid season finale! I watched this in the moment and it was tortureeee waiting for the new eps lol Thanks for the reaction!!

What’s so genius about this is that everyone is behaving in accordance to their own nature (scheming, undermining and generally being d-bags) and Dong-eun is just weaponizing the crap out of that. If that friend group was even a little nicer to each other, half of this stuff wouldn’t have happened to them.
