Mist Hashira became a hashira two months after picking up a sword when hes even younger than tanjiro. tanjiro took two years of training to even be skilled to enter final selection. and tengen said he's one of the gifted ones. yes he's pretty cool and strong. he's a fan favourite too.

Seb nah standing on business isn’t allowing an innocent child to be eaten…. I understand that is an interesting twist on a character but it just wouldn’t sit right in this type of Shonen.

Tanjiro was stronger than most of wannabe demon slayers in Final Selection tho, anyone who run into the Hand Demon was killed, but he managed to took it down. I do agree that Mist Hashira is more talented then Tanjiro, but it's not as much of a difference as a lot of people think

I didn't really mean to say that as a way to say he's better than Tanjiro but more as a way to emphasize that the mist hashira is very talented. Spoiler! but the show clearly never really cares to make tanjiro the typical strongest character but wants to show that team effort and good will pays off. many characters are stronger than tanjiro tbh

Muichiro’s talent is still limited compared to Tanjiro, full pontential Tanjiro>Ful potential Muichiro because Tanjiro is a sun breather.

Spoilers!! Tanjiro can't use sun breathing like Yorrichi. And until the final battle he used a less effective version of it. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter because we'll never know. All these talks about potential are pointless. The show is not about Tanjiro being the strongest at the end like other shonen, because Yorrichi is the depiction of that.
