I mean the thing with kageyama is he has always been receptive to criticism and improvement, he is just not great with communication. He’s never going out of his way to provoke someone or demean them even when he is being blunt. He is just painfully honest and hyperfixated with his passion for volleyball. So seeing him work around becoming a better communicator to be a better teamplayer is such a satisfying character arc

I never really liked Oikawa but I don't hate him. It's true that it's normal to be threatened by someone younger and better than you - but he's same with SUGA, is he not? But Suga chose to be a good person and a team player since they're both in the same team. There are a lot more other players from other teams who give Karasuno healthy competition and I don't think we're getting that from Oikawa. Like his urge to beat Kageyama isn't the same as Hinata's drive to "beat" Kageyama. So yeah seeing that backstory between them just strengthen my admiration of Kageyama too. And yeppp he's my MVP for the episode too 😍💜 Thanks for this reaction guys! Let's get to more Haikyuu!!! 🥰

Oikawa is such a human character, of course you'll feel thread when someone younger take your place! And i love kageyama so much, but i really like oikawa because despite of everything he learned how to treat him without hurting even when he was so upset and envious iwaizumi teach him that the effort is with the team not one player

agreed but i think the dif between suga and oikawa is the age and the schools. oikawa met kageyama younger than suga and of course puberty is a jerk his emotions were everywhere, see how kageyama was at the end of middle school the pressure is a beast. suga was the perfect senior because of his personality and how "bad" the school was he has nothing to lose in first place, that year was it and he really wanted to go to nationals so his thinking as a third year in highschool was very mature ❤️

Usually a "Chance ball" or "free ball" is an easy pass over the net made by the opposing team. For example, Seijoh messed up a receive (pass 1), someone covers that receive with a pass (pass 2) therefore the third pass has to go over the net so usually a player sets it/ bumps it (pass 3) high to give time to reset. In turn, it's an easy ball (Chance ball) for Karasuno to receive and set up for their attack. I hope that helps.! Makes sense in my own head lol....And then I play the vid and you guys said it a sec later lmao.

The whole point of Oikawa and Kageyama’s rivalry is the struggle between hard work and natural talent Oikawa works harder than most people, but what hurts him is knowing that no matter how hard he tries Kageyama might still surpass him because of his natural talent What hurts Oikawa the most isn’t that Kageyama is better than him but the fear that all his hard work might never be enough to surpass him

Oikawa is literally one of my favorite characters lol. Imagine a giant wall in front of you and a genius breathing down your neck. He’s the epitome of perfecting his own skills to his max level AND realizing that he can’t do it all by himself so utilizes his team to the best of their abilities. The great king.
