I really loved the finale. I could nitpick a few things but I still really enjoyed it. My favorite part was Dustin’s speech. He fulfilled Eddie’s wish. “I’m gonna walk that stage next month. I’m gonna look Principal Higgins dead in the eye. I’m gonna flip him the bird. I’m gonna snatch that diploma and I’m gonna run like hell outta here!” It was meant to be badass but I caught myself tearing up to that. I also thought the choice of When Doves Cry and Purple Rain was just *chef’s kiss*

It wasn't perfect... but it was definitely emotionally satisfying. I enjoyed it and enjoyed watching along with you two. Did you know that the original working title for the series was 'Montauk'? After the Montauk Project conspiracy theory that started circulating in the '80s. Which was about secret government experimenting to develop unconventional psychological warfare. Hopper talking about him & Joyce moving to Montauk was a nice nod to that part of the Duffers' inspiration.

This was a nearly perfect ending. Despite not liking Mike & El as a couple, I hated they did that to Hopper. Kudos to Jamie, Jake, Cara, Noah, and Nell for their performances this season. They were OUTSTANDING. Everyone else was great too, except Millie & Finn, who I felt phoned it in this season. I agree that there should've been some kind of follow up to Dr. Kay. Well, I'm just gonna fan wank that she was forced to retire after losing so many men. I also wished for a scene where El went back to California and threw Angela in a dumpster. And is Robin still with Vickie? Who did she mean by "overbearing partner?" Vickie or Steve (as 'business partner'), or someone new? That ending scene with the younger generation gathering to play D&D was so beautiful and full circle. They were the same age as our main four in S1.
