Remember, this is the point at which Gina Bellman's pregnancy was becoming harder and harder to disguise. (Not a spoiler, this was known to viewers at the time.) The Leverage writers had to get more ingenious about disguising her condition visually.

Been waiting for this ep!!! So much fun. And I totally forgot how shocking the bomb and funeral scene are when you don’t actually know for sure it’s a fake out XD Sophie leaving was very well-executed; even though it was necessary for Gina’s maternity leave, they made it feel extremely natural and actually plot relevant for her character.

For extra pain points: did you notice that the song playing during Nate and Sophie’s almost-kiss is the same from the first episode of the season, when Sophie tells Nate she has a boyfriend? Good things come to those who wait, as they say.

A fun detail? The thief from the other team was played by Apollo Robbins. He also worked for the Leverage production team as a consultant for the cons and heists in the series. And he taught the actors how to perform lifts for the camera. Apparently, Beth Riesgraf (Parker) had a real talent for pickpocketing!
