Nannooskeeska

My girlfriend loves peanut butter on her BLTs instead of mayo.

NomNom

As of late, I’ve loved having zucchini slices with garlic mustard sauce

ToughtMoff

Not me, but my Sister and Father will cut lemons in half and put salt on it before eating it. They thinks it’s amazing.

Lush✌️

Kimchi hot dog! Brioche bun, hot dog, mayo, mustard, generous kimchi, top with green onion🤌 10/10

ASpot

A common food combo in the Netherlands that is considered extremely weird here is French Fries and Mayo. You should definitely give it a try, its become a staple for me.

AskDQuestion

Saw this online and tried it with great results: Brie cheese partially melted on a cracker of choice topped with a Nerd Cluster. The salty + sweet works super well.

Rosie Ciccarelli

I really love sliced cantaloupe, like into cubes, and wrapping prosciutto around it, my friends say im weird but it tastes so good!!

Ivan

Not mine but my friend eats Doritos (nacho flavour) with peanut butter. I used to enjoy salt and vinegar chips with ranch dip.

Megan Clarke

Graham crackers dipped in orange juice (like dipping a cookie in milk, not fully saturating the cracker) was a favorite snack of mine growing up. I have some OJ at home now and I might have to try it again for old times sake. The sweet & tangy element is really nice imho.

David Alexander

I love dipping peanut butter (no jelly) sandwiches into split pea soup.

Dutch Doctor

I have two 1. I used to love mixing baked beans and mac and cheese, though I haven't in recent years. 2. less "food" but still intended to be ingested, but Cheez-its, Wint-o-green Lifesavers, and Coca-Cola go bizarrely well together.

BananaD

Peanut butter and Nutella sandwich with nacho cheese Doritos, goated combo

MH

Cream cheese and Picante sauce is good as hell dip for chips.

NickIsRadford

Dumping a bag of plain M&M's into a bag of crunchy Cheetos.

Woalol

Salted watermelons Peanut butter and pickle sandwich Pickles and mac n cheese Honey on Pizza Canned tuna and mac n cheese Soy sauce and vanilla ice cream

SirAlphaBum

Snickers and Andy's Hot Fries. Just a bite of both at once.

Siân

Ketchup and with mashed potato it turns pink and sweet it’s delightful

Art by Splunge Coyote

Toasted waffle sandwich with peanut butter, ham, and green apple slices. It's one of my favorite breakfasts.

Iniwid

Cheesey bagels/bread with coca cola!

Cjnchimaera

Not something I've actively made but have definitely had this combination while eating meat loaf and mashed potatoes.

Siân

Did you enjoy it? I think it kinda makes sense because Fries and ketchup is like a staple but everyone thinks I’m heinous for it

Marion Halim

toasted white bread + margarine (or butter) + sprinkle some sugar. Ate this growing up and apparently its an Indonesian/Dutch thing but confused the heck out of my American friends.

Mick R.C.L

Sandwich with bologna + ketchup + plain chips. All inside the bread, not on the side

Akoana

Grilled cheese with pickled red onions and a chicken patty. Can eat with or without ketchup and/or pesto

Carrie Emmerich

Pizza with pineapple and seasoned or ground beef. One of our friends turned us onto it. Now there's a whole bunch of us.

Rachel Campbell

Dessert rice: the most white people thing I've ever eaten. Rice, cinnamon sugar, and butter, warmed until the butter melts. Cottage cheese with soy sauce

Carrie Emmerich

Alternately, husband likes dipping pretzel sticks into canned frosting

mktr710

something that went viral in Japan 2-3 years ago is shoyu + vanilla ice cream. it tastes like mitarashi dango🍡 !

Carrie Emmerich

My mom's family was American of Dutch descent, and we definitely had this. Especially with cinnamon sugar.

Cha

Vanilla ice cream + chili oil (e.g. Lao Gan Ma chili oil)

Chomu

a nostalgic staple from my high school days is hot cheetos and cream cheese -- I still eat this combo to this day when I'm craving it lol. Recently I've tried vanilla ice cream with a really high quality olive oil and some black pepper on top that was 10/10

Michayla Wicker

Ritz crackers dipped in store-bought vanilla frosting!

enchantedsleeper

Peanut butter and Marmite (e.g. in a sandwich, on toast) - this is probably best if you actually like Marmite. A friend of mine has banana and Marmite sandwiches

enchantedsleeper

At school I used to eat cheese and ketchup sandwiches. My friend acted like this was the greatest food crime ever but it's basically just tomato in liquid form with sweeteners xD

Amanda S.

Your choice of pasta in red sauce with a side of mini dill pickles (2-3 is usually good enough). You eat the pickles with the pasta like you would with banchan (think a side of kimchi with rice).

Jonathan Nguyen

Peanut Butter, Banana, and Sardine Sandwich. Heat up the Sardines in a frying pan before assembling the sandwich.

enchantedsleeper

This post is giving me so much great food inspiration.

enchantedsleeper

Isn't melon and prosciutto an extremely common combination? It's a starter in so many restaurants...

enchantedsleeper

.....French Fries and mayonnaise is considered weird? It's the top one of two condiments I eat them with, the other one being Ketchup. I think the Netherlands' chips and peanut sauce is more unusual, also great though.

Rosie Ciccarelli

I've never seen it at restaurants but I wouldn't be surprised if I just live in a bubble lol All I know is that every single one of friends through my life have said it was gross.

Oscar

Xxxtra flaming hot cheetos and sour cream

yodizzle

Vanilla pudding (like Snack Packs) and cubes/chunks of marble jack cheese (like the kind you buy a little rectangle block of). Cut a slice or two of cheese, rip them or cut them into smaller pieces, stir into the vanilla pudding, and enjoy!

fmoo

Macaroni salad and barbecue sauce

Alex Marsala

chicken & cheese quesadilla dipped in applesauce. no idea why or when I first tried this, but it slaps 🤷‍♀️

Discovary

Cheese pizza (quattro formaggi in particular) with soy sauce.

Siân

Yeahhh!! That’s so weird there’d be no horror if it were a marina sauce and they’re so similar!

Eldritch_Turtleduck

Butter on a toasted pop tart (frosted strawberry is our favorite but you can do any).

Phil Johnson

In Seattle "The Seattle Dog" is very popular. Its basically just a hot dog with a bun, and cream cheese slathered all over it. You can also add other toppings or condiments that you like (ketchup isnt common, but mustard is).

ASpot

I don't know where you're from but every person I've ever eaten french fries and mayonnaise with here in the Midwest has thought it looked disgusting

Sara Syd

Works with Vegemite too. The salt in the peanut butter and Vegemite compliment one another

Sara Syd

Not sure if this is "weird", just a staple of a Persian household. Cut a cucumber lengthways in half, put salt over one half, rub the two halves together, and snack on a nice salted cuce.

Marceline Lewis

Homemade pickles, pimento cheese, and ritz crackers

mguin

Vanilla ice cream + a peeled pitted avocado + a lil milk & vanilla extract = avocado milkshake. Delicious & slightly green.

Weston Williams

Pizza topped with corn and salted dry-roasted soybeans. Red Baron specifically is *chef's kiss*

Caiden

French fries dipped in a milkshake

Caiden

Salted watermelon sounds good! Speaking of, people are sleeping on the rinds. They can be surprisingly good when candied, stir fried, pickled, fermented, added to smoothies, or even raw. It's the watermelon equivalent of pizza crust.

Miy Eterp

Turkey hamburger 🍔

Travis Jones

Saltine Crackers with Miracle Whip

Ironwolf

Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese, cut from a block, dipped in A1 steak sauce.

Olivia Nava

My sister does oreos with ketchup =)

Andy Harmon

My family always puts chopped pickles in our tuna salad- sweet or dill; i preferred sweet when i was younger but now I only do dill. Most times for me its just mayo, tuna and pickle.

Halo

Might not be weird enough but: hollow out strawberry, stuff with cheesecake (I use the kind with no crust) and either roll the top in crushed graham cracker or top with small piece of graham cracker. Great for when your cheesecake comes out ugly but you can do the same with any store bought version too

Catpoop46

Leomingtons and salsa are great

enchantedsleeper

Well xD I'm definitely not from the Midwest.

Alis

Quality sausage (like the hotdog kind), white rice, tofu and spicy chili crisp is my go-to for when i don't have the energy to make anything fancy. Throw whatever seasonings you want on top and you can easily make a few meals out of it.

Chai Elemental

Cottage cheese and raspberry jam in a sandwich

Tali

Peanut butter and red onion sandwich. I think you should butter the bread first (to help with the salt). You can try with cheddar cheese as well.

Emma Goblin

I have always liked to do a normal butter/jelly on toast, but then put my scrambled eggs on top. Its better with some jams than others.

Matthew G

gochujang cinammon buns

Ampoth

Cheetos & Yellow Mustard.

Shiao

Shin ramen + mayo and sugar lol. Spread a spoonful of mayo and sprinkle sugar on each side of the raw noodles, microwave for one minute, then after it cools a bit, break into pieces and sprinkle the seasoning packet on top. It slaps

Vic

saltine crackers+milk (crush up about half a sleeve of crackers in a mug or whatever and pour cold milk over them like they're cereal...let it get a little mushy)

misa lee

my cousin puts apple sauce on hot dogs

JY

Peppermint York patty + spray can cheese (like Easy Cheese) Ok I don't know if I was just an insane teenager, but I bragged that it tasted like cheesecake...

Kyle M

sliced cheddar cheese dipped into maple syrup

Caiden

Yogurt (Greek is better for thickness, satiety, and protein but other kinds of plain yogurt can be sweeter or more creamy)+Avocado (with the skin if more fiber and satiety and a tiny chocolate piece-like texture is prefered, but no pit)+Cocoa powder+Milk+Raw oatmeal blended together is 🤌. Healthy (though can potentially be high in calories), fairly little work, and relatively cheap too.

Emma Goblin

Pickles is like THE most common thing to put in tuna salad 🤣. Like Google "tuna melt" or "tuna salad "

Matthew Ely

Hot white rice, raw egg, soy sauce, shredded colby jack cheese.

Robert Henry

Old Bay Seasoning on Cucumbers

Tracy Bianco

vanilla ice cream with a good chili crisp (like fly by jing) with a drizzle of roasted sesame oil

AJ Lee

Bruegger’s Maple French Toast Bagel with Lox and Strawberry cream cheese. Toasted or Untoasted. Any ramen of choice broken up and pan fried in 4 tablespoons of butter add flavor pack at the end and use as a salad topping. Very skinny slice of Ski Queen Cheese on a slice of Rye bread and a dollop of Cloudberry Jam (sold at IKEA)

Cameron

1. Purchase a Half Chicken/Half Gyoza Teriyaki 2. Grab a mixing bowl and mix the contents in the bowl, include the salad and any sauces/salad dressing that naturally accompany the order. 3. Add 3 dollops of Blue Cheese Dressing and mix (roughly 3 tablespoons worth) 4. Consume and enjoy :) Typically I'll drink a Coke with it, I do not recommend Vanilla Coke...

Jacqueline Salm

I prefer brown sugar cinnamon but yes buttered poptarts! Thank you for suggesting this even if he didn't like it.

Phoenix Bryan

Here's something I created from leftovers! Combine chicken stuffing (boxed is fine) with nacho cheese (store bought is also fine, but I like to add pickled or fresh jalapenos and/or diced habanero tomatoes). Mix thoroughly and eat warm.

Jacqueline Salm

Do another one of these and do cheetos wrapped in hard salami

sticky

college budget 'fusion' burrito hack: 1. microwave burrito (we usually have a cheap beef and bean kind called casa mamita) 2. chinese take out duck sauce packet + 3. handful of shredded cheese (whatever kind you got, i usually have mexican blend or cheddar) - cook 1 side of the burrito, flip it, throw on the cheese and finish up the other side melted (it may be hot enough to melt just throwing in the open seam of the burrito at the end depending on ur microwave), sauce packet last (not mircowaved) - I would be curious if it could be improved with like better quality sauces and actually making your own stove top burrito but for just a quick dont feel like doing nothin snack just one packet will jazz up your burrito

sticky

less weird but how i make my box mac slap even harder: follow instructions normal, 1. add a 1/4 cup of salsa (or just eyeball it to whatever), 2. toss in some dry spices you like (i do basil + oregano + black pepper + red pepper flake) 3. handful of shredded cheese (two or three kinds if you got it)

Managodess

A food combo I've loved since childhood and still eat regularly: Butter, nutella and salami on bread.

Daniel J Tievsky

cukeyjangs (pronounced as american as possible): sliced english cucumber mash half a hass avocado with pinch kosher salt spread on each slice dollop of ssamjang in center little tiny drip of olive oil on each it kinda fucks

Suulix

Cream cheese with salsa on top, corn chips or ruffles

Lord Lore

Not really a combo, but frozen skittles are good

Cara C

canned tuna in a bowl mixed with mayonnaise and crushed up cheetos. the BEST guilty food combo ive been eating my whole life

Anubis 1101

honey-nutella sandwiches (on the Good Bread™, not the cheap stuff!)

Anubis 1101

actually scratch that, my coworker told me about this time he saw someone at mcdonalds make tomato soup with ketchup, water, and creamer im disgusted, but curious

Chloe

It's not exactly weird. I'd consider it rather normal tbh. But you probably haven't had it before so, toast with marmite and philadelphia cream cheese. Butter on the toast is optional. Can also try combo on any cracker as well. But toast is best I'd say.
