I forgot how funny Bella was, in ways Stephanie Meyer definitely didn't intend, she's like a hard-boiled detective in her thoughts but nothing like that in how she talks out loud, or like an alien with complete contempt and disgust for humanity

hell yessssss. i was a day 1 hater of this book since i was a teenager (anyone remember mark reads twilight? 😂) and remain to this day a fond hate-reader and hate-watcher of this offensive series. no but really this book was horrifying to black and brown characters and people should donate to the quileute tribe's "move to higher ground" project (mthg) if they can.
