I seriously love this content so much 😂😂 I wish they would actually sell Seonghyeon’s version.. I really want it so bad. And honestly, I wouldn’t even want to touch James’s or Juhoon’s kkkkkk James’s looks like I’d catch a disease if I touched it, and Juhoon’s looks like it would curse me or something LMAO.

Simmmyyy 🌟

OMG Trainee A. My babies. As a person who was a fan of them back when they were still a thing, I can promise you that you would've LOVED them. They were so fun and youthful. But nonetheless, I'm glad that even though everyone went their seperate ways, they've all debuted or in the process of debuting. I'm so proud of them

Seriously. Before I knew Cortis, I didn't know about Trainee A. I had only heard of Big Hit's new boy group, but I wasn't interested. So, I found out about James because of Cortis. When I found out his origins from Trainee A, I was sad too. It was like he was ready to debut but failed. It must have been hard for James. But now he's met good younger siblings in Cortis. ♡

CORTISFOREVER5

BigHit company was supposed to debut different line up members called Trainee A. James was one of the members. Now most of them debuted in different teams such as TWS, Alpha Drive One, AllDay Project, POW etc. And now James in CORTIS :)

I also loved seeing James creative process ! He's so fun to watch. I also had Martin as a favorite for the contest ! It's crazy how you guessed from the beginning that Seonghyeon was going to win

Okay Senior I'm back with my essays, but I'll try not to repeat info stated in the comments below: I never followed Trainee A, but based on my friends and info online, Trainee A was formed back in 2021 with James part of the initial lineup. Apparently, the lineup kept changing due to trainees leaving and hidden trainees joining. The most famous lineup is the 2022 one that you saw in those group dance videos, and they would go to LA and attend workshops there plus dance in the streets for an audience. HYBE hosted freestyle competitions (dance & rap) amongst all the trainees under their labels, and Trainee A was a part of it (Martin was also a part of it too; if you want to react to it after their Weverse live, I can link James' and Martin's battles). During one of the rap battles, Trainee A member Leo was rapping to Playboi Carti's 'Stop Breathing.' One of the lyrics in the rap was deemed as extremely misogynistic, and he received a lot of backlash for it, especially since he changed the original lyrics and supposedly made them worse. For reference: Carti's original lyric: "I take my shirt off and all the hoes stop breathin' I take my shirt off and all the hoes stop breathin'" Leo's changed lyric: "ain't nobody gon tell me why that bitch stopped breathing fuck that hoe in my bank, yeah that shit stopped breathing" By receiving so much backlash and many people wanting him removed from the group, Leo's mental health deteriorated, and they posted a video of Leo sharing to Trainee A that he was leaving the project in August 2022. It was definitely a sad video, especially since James was desperately trying to convince him to stay. After he left, Trainee A still existed, but in December 2022, the group officially ended their social media promotions with one of the members revealing on their personal Insta that the project had ended. A lot of people speculated that Leo leaving resulted in their disbandment, but to this day, we don't know the reason. And as mentioned in one of the comments, most of them were able to debut with new teams, and during fan signs, some of them have revealed that they are still in contact with other members of Trainee A. To wrap up my essay, I want to share some more information about James. Before James was a BigHit trainee, he was a trainee under YG Entertainment (the company that made BIGBANG, BlackPink, etc). I don't know if you know the group TREASURE, but one of their members revealed on a live that he actually had met James a few times when James was a YG trainee. During one of James' Trainee A vlogs under BigHit, he revealed that he was actually fired from his previous company, so people are now guessing that the company was YG. I have so much respect for James' determination because it must have been difficult keeping a strong mentality after being fired from one company and having your famous project group disbanded.

sometimes i wonder what goes on inside james head 😭😭

I knew of Trainee A but I didn’t follow their journey back then. I can’t even bring myself to watch the content they posted bc the previous members have openly said that it was a time where they faced many hardships and they generally don’t like it being brought up since they’ve all debuted in their respective groups now. It makes me think about how the other Cortis boys said it was hard to get close with James because he was really quiet and did things by himself. He was probably protecting his heart since he was on track to debut and everything was taken away from him so suddenly. Also, I can’t remember if you reacted to them or not but it’d be nice if you could watch the commentary videos for Go and lullaby before they start their new era! Apologies if you’ve already seen them…

I think Martins is my favorite 😂
